Need help deciding pick 2 out of 3

Ok nov 20 is a dreaded day for me. I turn 30 and I am not looking forward to it. However 30 has more financial stability for me than 20 did :) The wife said i can get 2 of the 3 things I want for my SI. Please give me your thoughts on which of the 2 i should go for.

I own a 06 civic SI fiji blue. All stock except for the tint and G-Games 77S

So do i got for:

New tires - Nexen 3000 215/45/17 a set for about $220 plus mounting

Fujita SRI - about $200 ish i think i can install myself

Tein S-Tech lowering springs $140 plus $150 to install

I dont race, Auto X or anything like that. I just drive about 75 miles a day round trip to and from work. I can get 2 of the 3 but i really need to order it today so i can get the stuff next week and have installation over the weekend. Thanks

Based on your choices, perhaps you should get only one and do it right?

Are Nexen tires any good? I doubt it for the price you've quoted. Find something a little better at Tirerack.com, like the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.

Springs sound good, but what about better dampers to control them?

Spend the money only on better tires, IMO, since there are no good dampers right now for the Si, AFAIK.

Nexen tires get really good reviews from anyone who uses them.

Dude, how are a full set of new tires $220? My wife's car has Goodyear Eagle RS-A 205/50/17 and just one tire is $225!

Nevermind. They are the price you say. Seem too cheap to be a high quality tire though.

I spent a little time reading about them and the feeling was that they are a touring tire, not a performance tire, in that they were a fairly hard compound. Expect grip and braking distance to suck relative to a true performance tire, but they might just be a even trade for the OEM Michelin all-seasons.

The RS-A isn't really all that good a tire, either.

tires and intake.

Intake so you enjoy the melodious tunes of your engine.
Tires so you can feel the road.

my 2 cents.

I'm not debating if it's a crappy tire or not. I was just trying to give reference on the price of one Goodyear vs. the price of one Nexen.

The Goodyears are on my wife's Mazda 3 and came with the car when we bought it new. It's not like I went out and bought $1,400 worth of new Goodyear RS-A tires.

Intake Springs,,
You'll get your tires eventually right??

I dont think tires is a worty upgrade if you have tires already,, it gives you a better ride,, but like,, what are you gonna do with your old tires? you're gonna use the old ones eventually right?

I'm gonna get intake, exhaust (dont know when I should.. due to engine/warranty purposes), thinking springs, retro (dunno I really want to hahaha), and when headers come out.. thats a must :],,

When I got my rims they threw in some kumho spt,, I think they're very sticky,, stiffer ride than stock,, but I do have 18's,, but they're very sticky :]
If you dont want to feel like you're outing her for the 3rd item by not getting tires,, just get either intake or t3h springs,, but I have a suggestion,, if you get tires and springs,, have whoever puts the tires on put the springs on too :]..

Tires are about the best upgrade, since the quality of your brakes, suspension and engine can't be fully utilized with junk tires.
