Small Dots on windshield FIX.

As most people know, I'm a professional detailer.

Seeing these small dots on my windshield annoyed to me to no extreme. At break today, I brought her into the bay and used a MEDIUM-GRADE claybar and window cleaner. I didn't have to use a lubricant spray because its on the windshield. Microfibered it dry, and WHAM! Gone!

I'm going to do it again tomorrow at home when I won't feel rushed. I have NO idea what this stuff is/was. A lot of people who own 06/07 Civics apparently have this problem.

I've seen very silly responses ranging from "it's a gaseous mixture between the panes for anti-glare" to "very small rock chips".

Well, they're neither. It comes off. If you have this problem invest in a claybar, it'll work wonders on your windshield.

EDIT: Please make sure your windshield is CLEAN and DRY before spraying on cleaner and rubbing on claybar. Don't do this in direct sunlight either.

Darryl.

No probs! +1 rep for me! lol

I'm assuming you have the same problem? I can get the Meguiars Claybar kit from Lordco for $20 including the spray lubricant. It's over $50 if you don't know anyone there. Let me know I can hook you up if need be.

Have you seen me around yet dude? I still haven't seen you! ahha

I just vinyled over mine, around the tint. On the front I have a 8" vinyl window banner. I don't know of anyone who knows what possible purpose these micro-dots can serve. Every car has them nowadays tho..

HAHA. I can't see them anymore, but there are a few there. The camera won't pick them up Marcolol. Don't make me come down to van and show you personally. Wait, you come up here and see them. Ok, bye.

Claybar is a great product all in all. If you know how to use it.

Exclamation wow!!

I did my whole car yesterday with Meguiars Quick Clay and holy crap, the first section a lot of ORANGE rusty-colored crap came off. Upon closer visual inspection, there was rail dust. A LOT of it. Hence why probably the lubricant (spray detailer) was reacting with the iron, making it orange and being able for it to be picked up via the claybar. I have NEVER in my years of detailing have seen so much crap come off a new car. This process was literally done minutes after I washed and chamoised it. Crazy!

I kept the claybar, and my camera is fullly charged. I'll get pics of it.
