AEM Releases its Cold Air Intake System for '06 Honda Civic Si

AEM is proud to introduce its Cold Air intake system for the new 2006 Honda Civic Si. (part# 21-516)! Dyno results and a description of AEM's dyno and temperature testing procedures can be found at www.aempower.com.

AEM air induction systems are manufactured and assembled in the U.S.A. and are dyno-proven to outperform every intake system on the market. Every AEM intake system includes mandrel-bent, 6061 aluminum piping with TIG-welded fittings and brackets, AEM's revolutionary DRYFLOW synthetic performance air filter, the first performance air filter that does not require oiling to filter and trap dirt and contaminants (more DRYFLOW key features can be found below), complete installation hardware, comprehensive installation instructions, license plate frame and AEM decals.

DRYFLOW Air Filter Key Features:

Will NOT void your vehicle's warranty! No oil eliminates chance of over-oiling, which could foul Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF)

Element is cleanable and is Guaranteed for Life!

The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter's unique non-woven polyester filter media is independently tested at over 98% initial filtration efficiency (99.4% cumulative efficiency) based on SAE J276 JUN93 Fine Dust Air Cleaner Test Code procedures. Oiled filter initial efficiency is typically 90% to 95% efficient.

The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter delivers superior filtration and equal performance (compared to an oiled filter) on every intake tested!

AEM's unique non-woven filter media never needs oil! This means less down time between cleanings and no more chance of over-oiling.

A neutral gray filter color complements our mirror-polished and silver powdercoat finishes, and hides the dirt that it keeps out of your engine.

A mineral reinforced plastic interior cage increases structural rigidity—it's virtually impossible to collapse! No mesh screen means no more filter damage from bumps during installation or cleaning and no corrosion damage.

All AEM Cold Air systems are C.A.R.B.-exempt or pending C.A.R.B exemption, and carry a lifetime warranty. AEM's Cold Air induction systems are available powdercoated in red, blue and silver, or in a mirror-polished finish.

AEM products are Engineered To Outperform. The company designs and manufactures high-quality street and race performance products that are distributed worldwide. AEM headquarters is based in Hawthorne, California.

AEM Introduces DC Sports Race Header and Two Exhausts for '06 Civic Si

DC Sports proudly introduces its ceramic-coated 4-2-1 RACE header for the 2006 Civic Si (HHR5523), a stainless-steel cat-back exhaust system for use with its Race Header (SCS7034), and an axle-back stainless-steel exhaust system for use with '06 Si's with a factory header or aftermarket header that does not replace the catalytic converter (SCS7035).

Stated DC Sports Lead Engineer Darrick Contreras, "We tested multiple set ups during development, and found that our axle-back exhaust system makes more power than our cat-back exhaust system on vehicles that retain the catalytic converter, and we recommend the axle-back system for street enthusiasts who want the best power while retaining street legality. However, our racers will love the Race header and cat back exhaust system combination, as we made 20 HP and 15.8 lbs/ft of torque at 6800 RPM!"

DC Sports RACE header systems are dyno tested and tuned for all out performance for racing applications. All DC Sports header systems are precision bent on our CNC mandrel benders using data acquired from our non-contact digitizing scanner. Our flanges are CNC machined, we attach the flange to the header pipes, then machine-grind the flange-mating surface to ensure a leak-free seal. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing process ensures superior quality and a perfect fit with every header system we make. DC Sports RACE header systems are legal on off-highway vehicles only, and should never be used on public highways.

DC Sports RACE Header System Key Features:

Tuned for all out performance for racing applications

4-2-1 design in mild steel with proprietary ceramic coating

CNC mandrel bends with precision-welded fittings deliver perfect fit

CNC-machined flanges eliminate leaks.

Equal length primary piping ensures optimum tuning of systems for more power across rpm range

NOT C.A.R.B. exempt

Includes comprehensive instructions and all necessary hardware

Like our headers, DC Sports exhaust systems are dyno tested to outperform all comparable systems on the market. Our exhaust systems are CNC Mandrel bent, hand welded, feature a straight-through muffler core, utilize the factory mounting locations and include complete hardware for ease of installation. DC Sports exhaust piping and muffler housings are manufactured from 304-stainless steel and each system features a four-inch, straight-cut polished tip with a rolled DC Sports logo.

DC Sports Exhaust System Key Features:

Individually tuned and dyno-tested for maximum performance

Uses factory mounting locations for ease of installation

CNC mandrel bends with TIG welded fittings deliver perfect fit

100% 304 Stainless-steel piping and muffler housings with TIG-welded, CNC-machined flanges

Straight-through muffler core maximizes power and delivers an aggressive exhaust note

Late model systems meet 95 dB exhaust noise restriction requirements*

Includes comprehensive instructions and all necessary hardware

Cool

take pics during the install. great read. Funny how they said the catback made more hp , but then say the race set up with 20hp. I like them both and will go with the race setup, no emissions laws in GA.
