I hate the Dealership in Clinton, NJ

I need some help from you guys and gals.....my girlfriend put her money down for her order on for a 2007 Fiji Blue with Navi back on July 24th....she was told the her car would come in late October....well today she called to find out when exactly she will get her car maybe get a production date, etc.....they told her her car may not come in till January and were not positive that...she spoke to her salesmen and the GM and the both of them told her the same thing....now keep in mind her deposit is fully refundable too....but what in the hell did this dealership do this whole time?

They told her they have a black with Navi coming in but she doesn't want that.....when you place an order for something you are supposed to get what you ordered...Any suggestions on the next step we should take? Better business buro?....contact Corp Honda?

She really needs this car because the one she has now is about to die....any help or ideas would greatly be appreciated

You -CAN- contact the Better Business Bureau, but, they may not do anything - like file a complaint claim.

I was kind of going through the same BS for my deal. I am next in line for a TW Si for late October. I placed the order back in late May w/deposit. I couldn't afford one (now I can) for Oct, and they said no problem for a March TW delivery.

Thank God I double checked if they can GUARANTEE a TW Si for March, but they couldn't. No promise. No guarantee. WTF is does placing an order do these days?

We aren't ordering a freaking limited edition 1001hp 16.4 W16 Bugatti Veyron aren't we? It's a CiViC, my god.

Salespeople aren't salespeople anymore: they are order takers. Period.

Honda does not 'order' your Si to spec. Take a search over at ToV (on which several Honda salesmen post quite a bit) and the whole allocation process can be explained.

Damn. I was about to tell you to make them find one. I know that Clinton Acura is pretty good about that. My dealership and them did a lot of swapping. I figured Clinton Honda was the same way. Funny how putting things over the internet makes business move their assess huh?

Yeah well I'm just very thankful to HondaMatt from TOV, he posted it like right before 9 last night....called the dealership caught my salesmen going out the door told him the info I found out and he confirmed everything with me last night/this morning and we just put the deposit down 5 minutes ago over the phone....I still can't believe we got this lucky

When my girlfriend contacted Clinton Honda from what she told me they were really great to her over the phone and even searched 26 states for any remaining 06's....said they couldn't find any so she just put a deposit down on an 07 instead...I have heard that dealership was pretty good....guess not or at least not in this case
