New 09 Civic SI Sedan Help!

Ok so I am new. VERY NEW! I am so new that I only figured out how to take off the factory front plate bracket that is not required in my area.

So that said. What would you recommend doing to the car that would boost the HP and give me a bit more power? I am up for anything. I have about a grand to spend right now. Given the budget what are your thoughts? I am not interested in body mods. I am almost 30. Not that body mods are for younger folk but I see lots of kids with mods that do nothing for the actual HP of the car.

I want to get started head first. Any help is appreciated!

Dig around

To get anywhere you'll need double or triple that amount

all the possible mods have been done and info is available on this site

You won't get much with those upgrades. Your only option is to get a turbo/supercharger for the MOST power gain or get the basic intake/header/exhaust and tune.

not to be a downer but there are a couple of cars out there that probably would have been a better choice for you if you desire "power". Like people already mentioned, it is costly to really see some significant improvement in performance in the Si without voiding the warranty.

Now that i got that out of the way, search around this website. There is a lot of great info on the Si.

Yes. This is a great start. Then save another 4k for supercharger and spend the rest on summer tires.

4k is with the install, 3500 without. So, if 4k is feasible, go for it! that is my route.

since that doesnt help, evasive is offering an amazing deal on flashpro right now spend the rest on a intake or exhaust, you might even have a little left over if you just get one of those

No not being a downer at all. Thanks for the feedback. I really like Honda's and wanted to stick with that. Maybe I will just look into small mods and making it look a little nicer. I am happy with the way it drives now. Coming from a big Explorer though I'm sure you can imagin that. I do love the car though. It is sweet!

I will keep looking around the site for ideas. It is a ton of information and very informative.

I apologize, I misquoted. Apparently C/T Engineering raised the price to $3995, I remember it had been something closer to $3500 when it was a comptech kit. I'd stack on another $500 for install at your favorite local shop.

Oh ok, it's not too bad. I would probably save up and wait a while since i bought the car 5 months ago and would not want to void my warranty with a supercharger.

Yeah, i love the car too. It's great fun to drive unless you have a couple of friends in the back seat.
