what grade of gas?

do they recommend for the si? the same as the base engine or better octane?

Preimum gas only in the Si!! Besides gas mileage only other thing that sux about it.

theres no escaping it with 11:1 compresion. its a small price im willing to pay for the performace.

Min of 91. Wish we had 93 or higher here. The few places that carry 100 are always out.

Nope All Premium required vehicles are set from the factory to use 91 Octane,
never higher since 93 Octane isn't available in many parts of the country.
I think the dealership when they filled up the tank only put in 87 Octane because when I filled it up for the first time with 93 Octane the car ran a lot stronger and actually got better gas mileage. The computer will compansate if you put in lower octane gas by retarding the timing and adjusting fuel air mixture. So you can get away with lower actane gas but your performance and gas mileage will suffer. So might as well put the right stuff in there.
It keeps the Oil Companies Happy
