I shudder to think what the automobile industry would be like if you "got it."

I'm looking forward to seeing this car on the lots. I'd like to drive one. If anyone here buys one and they live near me, lets play test drive eachother's cars one day.

I think it's an awesome car but I won't be trading my fiji coupe in for one. If I had a kid maybe I'd like the sedan but I'm young dumb and full of, well I like my coupe.

Never been a fan of the USDM sedan design. If it were the JDM/Canadian front-end then that'd be hot. Ditto on the dead otter draped over the trunk.

I'm sad my EX is no longer the envy of other sedan trim levels.

i have a 06 Si (mine), and an 06 EX sedan (my gf's), and i think its easier to put my 2 year old daughter in my Si than the EX. so the having a family factor doesnt really bother me in my choice of sedan or coupe. Si coupe>Si Sedan. IMO

Since when is an Si considered a sports car? Much less a TRUE sports car? IMO a sports cars must have these two factors, RWD & only 2 seats.

The Si is just a 'sport' version of an entry level economy car. Hence the term "sport compact car"

With that said, I honestly think the sedan looks awesome, I actually prefer the sedan rear, and the fact that it only weighs 60lbs more. It looks kickass in Ralleye Red too.

As far as Honda 'doing this becasue of money' when do car companies do anything with the intention of LOSING money??? PLUS, since when are choices a bad thing??? I personally LOVE the fact that Honda is letting us choose whether we'd like our Si in original coupe flavor, or spicy new sedan. All we need now is a Hatchback..

I really don't get the anger towards this car...

I'd guess that it comes from the differences in demographics.

I say this in reference to some of the haters...

Some because they want to have the only Si available (the coupe).

Others because they do like it but want to hate on it because they think what they already bought is best. (Isn't it like that on every car/bike forum, what I have is best and what you have sucks?)

As you said, it is an ecomony sporty car, not a sportscar and no matter what it's still a civic. I think both versions are cool and think both of them look good enough. I tend to choose vehicles based on the driving experience and reliability moreso than what it's going to look like driving down the road seeing as my view is from the cockpit.

I have never been all the much of a fan of the sedan, though this one doesn't look bad. I am not digging the rear end of the sedan though, and the spoiler looks out of place, but once you remove the spoiler I think the trunk space looks awkward anyway. Personally I'd stick with the coupe.

Anyone think the insurance will be different?

nice to see a sedan si , i guess its a love it or hate it thing i guess.

two things i dont like.....

1)the new wheel color. they always look dirty?
2)the ivtec dohc decal on the sedan looks wwaaaayyy too big/out of place.

other than that, thumbs up.

It is rather apparent who Honda is targeting with the Si Sedan. Soccer moms who auto cross on weekends after the game.

It's a good thing that Honda provides us with plenty of choice. I have a good sized family but the wife's CRV handles bigger chores. The Si is my toy. Damn dependable one however. The Si Sedan would certainly interest me if we were a 1 car family. A 5 door Si Sedan would be even better then. That's a good decision that Mazda made with their 6 lineup. Very practical.

I'm thinking the same think with the decal.

I'm not feeling the red sedan. the blue looks sharp. they should just can the decal all together, but especially for the sedan. it would suit the sleeper look anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the newest members exterior-mod their 4 door rides.

I agree entirely...with one exception...I have TWO kids (ages 6 and 3) and it's easier to load them in the back of my Si than it was in my 4-dr. Mazda 3s that I traded in.

I'm just not feeling the Si Sedan AT ALL. I have to admit that I am indeed a bit of a "purist" when it comes to the Si since this is my third one. I'm just of the mind that the "Si is a 2-dr." and I don't want the sedan version to "dilute" the impact of "real" Si's. Having said that, it's without question a good strategic decision by Honda.
