Jiffy Lube

For everyone who uses Jiffy Lube or any other Quick oil and lube service I want to share this.

Another reason why you should change your own oil.

I run 7 Different COMPANY owned Jiffy Lubes...Just to let you know all of these Jiffy Lubes that are mentioned are Privately Owned ...They are franchisees..I can honestly tell you that one of the most important things I communicate to my employees “If you can't do the service or if Transmission or fuel lines are non-accessible, the service is NOT to be done. I know something like this opens alot of eyes but, we are owned by Shell / SOPUS Company. All of our technicians are thoroughly trained. Both hands on and CBT (Computer Based Training). We have quailty inspections..meaning after work is done to the vehicle it is inspected by three other employees, Manager, Technician, Assistant Store Managers/Customer Service advisors. I always encourage any customer that suspects foul play to either watch the work being done to your vehicle, or ask to inspect all used parts. Ex: The new part that is going into your car and the old part which was taken out....It is such a shame for these people to do something like this to our customers. These are the kind of people that ruin the Jiffy Lube name. Let me be the first one to personally apologize for this incident. which happened last year. My company takes this very seriously and these actions will NOT be tolerated. Please don't allow these 5 stores to ruin a name that has been coined as "America's Favorite Oil Change". Thank you for reading this Thread...
Remember, Jiffy Lube "Fast, Trustworthy, Knowledgeable, Every time, Everywhere"

No offense to Jiffy Lube, but my friends have all gone to local ones cause they didnt feel like doing it theirselves, they all had oil under their cars in the lot at school afterwards the next day.

Regardless of if im driving my car, parents car, other relatives car, i watch the techs wherever i go as they work on the car.

i bet they just forgot the accessory services (I would too if I was in a big rush like those guys are). But they never talked about the oil change itself...and whether it was done...or even done properly.

Do you yankies have Mr Lube down there? I don't think we have Jiffy up here, but Mr Lube. They act the same however you're in your car while they do the service. They seem rushed, however, as well.

No, but we got a Oil Can Henry's here. It's funny because they all wear corny ass bowties and white dress shirts but it's cool cuz you get to sit in your car while they work and watch 4 surveillance cameras as they drain the oil and pour the new oil in. It sucks though because I brought my own oil (mobil 1 syn) and k&n oil filter and they can't give me any lower discount then the price of a regular oil change.

They have great customer service though, they gave me a copy of USA Today as I waited, it's a lot like taking a trip to mcdonalds (drive-thru service). Gonna take 5 quarts of AMSOIL syn next time I visit.

I don't work for jiffy lube, but when I come across a car that has marked parts, I make sure to mark the new ones going in, and save the old ones just in case the customer comes back to complain. I know, I am a horrible person, LOL!!!

I went for my first oil change at Jiffy Lube... After them trying to convince me that my SI is a 1.8L I had to kindly ask them to close my hood because there was no way I'm letting someone work on my car that obviously knows nothing about it.

I hear ya people...really just plain and simple you can't judge every facility as a whole you Have to take one by one...and 6 speed chick...if those asses can't find an em. sticker to give you all the info...they better lose your business..beside I can probably tell you judging on what the couple of people said ...like oil on the pavement...not knowing the engine size etc. these have to be Franchised...GOT to Be...I know for a fact these techs can't step on the floor without 45 hours of CBT and 45-50 Hands on...and thats only to be a courtesy tech ...lol...vacuuming cars, washing windows...but anyway I love my TW Si and I'm the only that screws a filter, drops the oil on my Mean machine....Peace out ,thank you for your time ...good night i'm outta here..
<<<<< is leaving on a high note!!!
I'll see ya next 3,000 miles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find that really hard to believe, considering there's a huge "2.0L iV-TEC" sticker on the sides of our cars. Then again, I've heard some scary stories from shglbmx about what they do at their shop to peoples cars.

The jiffly lube story is also kind of old, and businesses change pretty quickly in todays market, especially when they recieve bad publicity like that. I doubt they're as bad as they used to be.

YOU DRIVE AN AWESOME CAR, THE NEW SI, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU EVER TAKE THIS CAR TO A JIFFY LUBE!!!??? Or any other speedy service place for that matter? People please take your new Si to the dealer for service. The Honda techs are really the only people who know the ins and outs of this car right now since it's so new. You are not saving hardly anything going to a crappy discount shop...and they might screw up your new ride! You spent the extra money on your Si, please spend a couple of extra bucks on a Honda oil change. GEEZH! I wouldn't take anything but an old beater to those discount places.

I've never been to a jiffy lube, but my girl convinced me once to let wal-mart change the oil in my buick. She needed to shop and I needed an oil change, sounded good in theory. They forgot to do a couple of key things though.. like put oil in my car. I made it to the house and checked and put oil in, but the damage was done. That is the story of how I ended up with my 7th gen that I still have now.

Bastards.
I was anti wal-mart then, am more so now. wal-mart is evil.
