OEM Intake question

Where does the factory Si intake draw its air from? Inside the engine compartment (like an Integra GSR) or from inside the fenderwell (like Integra type R)?

I just pulled mine out the other week and it does actually pull from the engine compartment, the tube goes from the silence in the fender back up to a little port in the engine bay. When I noticed that I wasn't to pissed about getting the SRI over the CAI since the stock system pulls from the engine also.
