I have a Lx 5spd and an Si is available right should i trade?

Ok i have 1,457 miles on my car i had it since april 15, and wanted an Si but at the time it was not available and today while driving by the dealership i saw my first Si ever in the lot is silver, and on the webpage the price is listed for is only 20,885 wich is not bad for an Si i dont think.

Now my question is am 20 and am currently paying $205 dollars for insurance about how much more will it go up if i get the Si?

and about how much do you guys think i get for my LX 5spd? i pay 19,800 for it including the gap insurance and handling fees and stuff i paid MSR for it at the time.

Am realy temting to go get that Si, is kind of telling me come get me.

I had my Lx for like 4 months and never seen an Si on the streets.

If you can afford it, do it. You will love the Si over the Lx in a million ways.

I think i can even thought i will be even more in dept, i put 7k as my down payment for my lx so i only own 12 on it, am going to go talk to them if i can work a good deal out of my civic i might get it, about 17,500 for it and get the Si for about 20k i might do it.

I mean they have other Lx in the lot use with 4,345 miles for sale at 19,883 dollars, mine only has 1,450 miles on it.

another thing i dont know if they will like the mods i done to my lx i have, windowting and flowmaster exhaust, and overlays on my taillights, i hope they dont mine that.

Call your insurance company to get a quote...don't forget you'll also be spending more on gas too.

When you do the appraisal on your car they're going to ask for how much you pay and how much you owe. They're going to probably give you a low price in comparison to what you read on here. Rememeber to negotiate the final price of the car you want not the price of your payments. NEVER NEGOTIATE PAYMENTS! Even if you negotiate the price of your trade, they're actually just deducting the difference from the sticker on the car. So if they tell you 14k for your trade and you negotiate up to 16K, you're getting 2k off the sticker of the Si. Don't let them dick you. I don't want to have to come down to Tennessee and beat some dealer butt.

Go to www.geico.com, www.allstate.com and www.progressive.com for insurance quotes. Remember you can always shop around for insurance just like you can for cars.

But basically, if you can afford it, I say go for it!

you MUST call your insurance agent to get a quote on the Si before you buy. then if you're agreeable to that number, and you can afford the Si, I'd recommend you do it. Don't guess at what the insurance is going to be. being car broke sucks arse.

Yep, if that is what you truly want, and you don't mind paying for premium gas, and gas mileage is not a priority, then the si is for you.

When I bought the EX for my wife and the Si for myself in April, Allstate did not distinguish them apart. So the insurance was the same for both and was referenced on the paperwork as 2006 Civic.

Si FTW!!!

insurance on my Si is definitely higher than other Civic models. my friend sas an EX coupe and he pays $1500/year... i pay $2300, and that's with a 30% roadstar discount (i'm in Canada). so the difference is pretty significant.

I just got back from the insurance company and you guys are right i pay now $204 a month and if i had an Si it will be something like $260 to $270 a month, thats what the lady told me but she said to be sure she needs the bin Number, because that might change.

Over all right now i own 12k on my Lx and i did my math and everything if i get the Si lets suppose for 20k plus taxes and handling fees and gap insurance, i will end up at around 24k and suppose they give me 18k for my LX it only has 1,400 miles on it and i only own 12 on it, that will be only 6k going to the Si so 24k-6k=18k i will still be owning 18K instead of the 12 i own right now.

plus about 60 more dollars for insurance a month thats about $720 more dollars.
And i will also lose the 600 dollars i have in mods in my LX.

Am paying for my own insurance and helping my parent with the utility bill and am only making like $1,500 a month. am only 20.

I could work it out but am just going to wait and mod my Lx.

If anyone is interested in the Si it is located in jackson,TN is silver.

this is their webpage www.jackpirtlehonda.com
