Civic Si wallpaper and battery "charging" background for jailbroken iPhones
For everyone with jailbroken iPhones there's a new Winterboard theme you can download via Cydia that will change your wallpaper and battery screen to images of the Si. The speedometer actually indicates your battery life while charging. The Honda logo at the bottom is the image you slide to the right to go to the home screen. Here are some screen shots.
Wallpaper while not charging: ![]() Wallpaper while charging: ![]() You can have the same background image without jailbreaking your iPhone if you can find a copy of the image. I believe the battery wallpaper can only be achieved by jailbreaking. You must also have Winterboard installed (a jailbroken app). Last edited by kbeeveer46; 12-04-2008 at 07:59 PM. |

I'm not sure. If you have Cydia installed you can open it and click on the "Changes" tab to see if the theme is available. Again, you must have Winterboard installed to use it. I think you'll have to have the BigBoss source in Cydia for the theme to be available to download.

Using QuickPwn to Jailbreak the iPhone 3G Firmware 2.2 | Apple iPhone School
Very easy. Only problem is that you will lose everything on your phone (apps, contacts, text messages, photos) unless you can back them up. I will never go back after jailbreaking mine. Every time Apple updates the firmware you will have to re-jailbreak (again, losing all contacts, photos etc). If you're completely content with your phone I wouldn't suggest it. There may be a rare chance something goes wrong and brick your phone making you have to buy another one. Do your research and make sure it's something you want to do before attempting it. The only way to go back to original Apple software is to do a restore using iTunes which works perfectly fine but will, again, delete everything on your phone. What it really comes down to is that there are features that the iPhone lacks and there are programmers out there who wrote their own firmware that is based off of the one Apple provides. The new firmware is applied when you jailbreak the phone. This new firmware allows you to do things to the phone that Apple won't let you. For example, most phones show you that you have a missed call, missed text message, voicemail etc in the status bar. This is something the iPhone lacks so a generous person wrote an app that will only work in the jailbroken firmware that allows you to have these features. Modifying the battery background is also only achievable on jailbroken phones. Last edited by kbeeveer46; 12-04-2008 at 09:42 PM. |

Nope. Just saw it in Cydia and thought I would share it. Here's the official website. New Packages | iPhone News, Help and Guides
