I, myself, haven't had much trouble with the set-up of my side mirrors for lane changes, but backing out of a spot or reversing out of a driveway is a little nervewracking sometimes. Not that I went all crazy backing up w/ my last car (Grand Cherokee), but still. Huge! (: |

I keep my side mirrors turned out far enough so that I cannot see the sides of my own car when in the normal sitting position. I think a lot of people keep their sideview mirrow to far inward. They use their side mirror like a rear view mirror. I was always told to turn the mirror out from the sides of car to focus on the people behind and in the next lane. Your rear view mirror is for the car behind you in you own lane.
