At first he said that he might not be able to give it to me but I told him I drove so far and I need something to show my local dealer. He finally printed it out and I have it here.
I called my local dealers and all of a sudden, everyone and their moms can find it. One girl said she couldn't find it so I offered to fax it there and then I had to tell her to go to her computer where they look it up and go to:

Service Bulletins
2006
Scroll down almost to the bottom

I was watching the Honda guy very closely when he was pulling up the bulletin.

The dimensions of the picture are too big for me to put in this post so e-mail me at zainhaq@hotmail.com if you want me to send it to you. I was in a hurry so I just scanned it at whatever setting it was at.

If your dealer says they dont know about it, take this to them and be like, "HAH, I TOLD YOU SO, MOTHER!%@#$&." OK, Well, I probably wouldn't say that since they are about to work on your car, but you get the idea.

My local dealer found the service bulletin now but says that they still don't have that version of HDS and that he'll call me whenever they get it. I am just gonna drive 30mins back to that dealership on Monday morning and drop off my car and have my sis take me to work. I won't be able to wait another week to have this done.

Can u send me a copy of this?

Got it on Friday morning, took about 40 minutes or so.

Rev hang is there, albiet not as long, but the throttle seems a lot less sluggish. As others have said, it just feels different.

My suggestion is keep calling other dealerships. Some are easier to deal with than others.

My Vin range is off by 2000 or so... but the rev hang is definately there. I'm taking my car in Monday, but I'm afraid that they won't do anything because my car's not in the range. Could I just hassle them to give it to me anyway? Or would it even be covered by the warranty?

Just hassel the **** out of them. Tell them the rev hang and lag IS there and give them **** until they buckle. Tell them it is hampering the drivability of your SI and threatin to take it to the top if they refuse service. The customer is ALWAYS right.....remember

It really affected your gas mileage that much? When I beat on my car, I get 23. If I could beat on my car and get 26mpg I would be a happy man. I can get 25-26mpg if I take it easy on her but I think she likes the abuse.

For those of you who are not in the VIN range you may have a rev hang but I doubt it's anything like those that are in the range. Like it states in the SB. "this update IMPROVES some of the problems but does not 100% fix them". So unless you are in the range don't waste the dealers time. I'm sure Honda knows exactly when they implemented the new update so there is no reason to go waste the service departments time.

Just my $.02

Russell-Smith Honda has it here in Houston. I am at the dealership getting it done right now. I had to show them the post off my laptop to get them to believe me, but the bulletin popped up right away. I can't wait to see how it drives.

They also have two SI's in the showroom with full HFP kits, foglights and tint if anyone is interested...

I just got mine done today. I had to print out a copy of the letter HAQER sent me to get them to do it. But, wow, it is a difference when driving.

I need your dealership info

For those you who had his/her Si's refreshed, could it be possible to post the dealership information (name, phone # and stuff)? Because I'd like to ask my local dealerships to contact them and find out there is such a "refresh" exists.

My local dealerships (Lynnwood and Bellevue. WA) were helpful, yet I couldn't get anywhere on this matter.

Thanks in advance!!

Normal? That's something alien to this site! I'm curious as hell to find out what a pre flash car feels like compared to a normal/flashed one. Until I read the official post with the VIN numbers I was wondering why my Si wasn't behaving like you've all described (until I realized my VIN # was out of range) -duh!.

Some of us Canucks are still waiting for the Canadian dealers to catch up with their US counterparts.

I spoke with the service manager at my local dealership today and had him inquire to honda canada on speaker phone about the issue.

Long story short, after showing him the TSB ect... the person from honda canada said that they are currently creating a program to correct the rev-hang/throttle lag and dealerships will recieve a letter about it in approx. a months time.

apparently the canadian one will be different than the US one because of emissions and all that other stuff.

Do you have an LX auto? I have a LX Sedan Auto and it does that on my car too... I thought it was normal. I wonder if they have a flash for us guys as well.
