I experience some hickuping in the throttle in 1st or 2nd until I have at least 6 bars on my tempertaure guage. I don't know if this is grounds for taking it it. Sorry if this question has been asked already.

I and many others have the some issue. I did take it in and have the update done but there was no change. It still does it and I didn't see much of a difference except prior to the update/reflash I could easily chirp tires going into second gear and now I can't. Well, I can but I have to try really hard to do it whereas before it was a natural occurance.

I always let my car warm up, no matter what. Even when I'm running late I still wait until at least three temp bars. I've had my '07 for almost a month now and I've experienced any of these hick-ups symptoms; I'm not sure if that is because I let my car warm up. Do these things only occur to 06 models or am I in for a lousy surprise?

I've got an 07 Si Sedan and have no surging problems when cold, however the throttle hang is very evident. I just traded in my 07 Mazda MX-5, which is also DBW and its RPMs dropped right away on shifts, the Si is totally different. It's still plenty fun to drive but the throttle hang is a little annoying. I refuse to believe Honda can't resolve this. DBW technology is not new for Honda. I'm going to start hounding my dealer in a few weeks.

Same here after having the car for one week. It makes me think that my foot is still on the accelerator when I depress the clutch. Very ANNOYING! I also have that pull to the right which a lot of people are having. $22k for this? I thought the civic went upscale?

I have now noticed the surging when cold, although it's pretty minor and totally goes away when it's warmed up just a bit. No pulling to the right. Hopefully Honda makes another fix to the rev hang.

Anyone try to get a reflash on an 07 Si? I watched a video on youtube of an 06 Si with a reflash done and it definitly drops revs faster than my 07 Si. I'm still in denial that a company as great as Honda would leave the Si with rev hang.

New model cars are always subject to bugs. It's like when a new Windows comes out, there are always Service Packs that come out a year later to fix all the bugs. By the time a MMC comes around the Si should be pretty solid...or at least one would hope that they fix the bugs by then.

Went and got my reflash done 5/15 and I definately feel the improvement on the hanging revs and no surging, especially 1st to 2nd...engine sounds a bit different. I'm averagin around 31.5 mpg but I do drive like a granny most days unless I'm auto-xing...then again..it was never as bad as my 02 Focus SVT..

I wouldn't since your car should already have the new programming.

i have a 07 si and my revs hang and my **** bucks in goin from 1st to 2nd and ****, i think my VIN ends w/ 70??? , i have to go get another key from honda since they only gave me 1 from the dealership cuz they couldnt find the other ones so maybe i'll just ask them about the reflash while they are reprogramming my keys to work on my car

Actually, what they're going to blame you for is bringing in the wrong model year. This reflash bulletin is for 2006 Si's, not 2007.

The Honda ECU update wont do you any good since all the 07 Si's already come with that or even a more updated version.

Maybe with enough 2007 owners emailing Honda and bringing up the problem, they'll issue a bulletin. They've done it once already...
