Even after paying for installation and paint, the bodykit would be cheaper? That's a good idea on the Navi. I wasn't sure if the it played dvds or not. I could probably do without the Navi then. Anyways, thanks for the comments.

The body kit comes pre painted. You order it in the color of your car. Since you don't need to paint it and pay less for the kit than what a normal dealer wants, even if you have your dealer install it it is still cheaper than just ordering it with the car. Also on wheels, if you order HFP's with the car you don't keep the old ones and get no credit for them. If you do the wheels later you can then sell off your stock ones for $4-5 hundred. Then your 18's will cost you around $1000 instead of $1600 for the HFP's when ordered with the car.
The stock one is navi only no movies.

Just one point on the wheels.

If you order the HFP's from the dealer, you do get to keep the wheels that came on the car from the factory. The dealer is charging you extra for the HFP wheels. Of course you could work out a deal with the dealer to buy back your factory stock wheels, but I bet the dealer wouldn't give much.

I ordered the HFP 17" wheels and performance tires as an option.
When my car came in, I had them take off the factory wheels with tires and mount the HFP wheels with the Michelin PE2 tires. I took the stock wheels and tires home because I paid for the car with them on it.

Good luck.

It varies from dealer to dealer but I agree with you. You should be able to take home the stockers.

Have you decided between EX and Si yet? Anyway, if gas mileage is a major concern go with EX, however, if you envision yourself modding the car to extract more power and handling, you're better off spending the token extra bucks and getting the Si, it'll cost more trying to make an EX into an Si.

As for Navi, my best friend's little sister got Nav in her EX sedan, and boy, I can't imagine getting one of these cars w/o it! Worth every penny! It's easy to use, makes the interior look worlds better, and you'll never get an aftermarket that'll be as well integrated with the car. Sure it costs a bit more, but you'll get a large chunk of that back in resale value when [and if!] you sell your car in the future.

I would say try to find some local dealers for a test drive. Everyone on this website can contribute endless amounts of comments about the Si but no one can sum up someone's experience in a 30 minute test drive.

Yeh, Canadians aren't allow to markup the price whatsoever either.

Actually... accounting for tax, my Si was 31500 OTD.

I think you may have misread my post. I was saying how Canada doesn't allow their cars to be marked up from the MSRP.. they can definitely go below the MSRP, but under no circumstances are they allowed to charge you over the MSRP...

Unlike the states, some people paid a substantial amount over the MSRP.

I haven't actually gotten a quote at a dealership yet, that 24ish that I said was what Honda's website said. That's with the bodykit, Navi, etc. I probably won't even be able to find one with those two options (plus the fog lights).
the engine in my '98 Prelude went out too and i bought a GG LX Sedan exactly 1 month ago...it's great and fits my current needs perfectly, but with the 140HP engine it's not the same kind of car as the SI (whose specs are nearly identical to those of the '97-'01 Prelude).

as far as finding the vehicle you want, just call around...even if you have to buy a $250 1way plane ticket somewhere it's worth it to get what you want, when you want, and at the right price....GL!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I appreciate it. I'm DEFINITELY leaning towards the Si, I went to a dealership today and they had one, but it was already sold (of course) and the salesman said there's a 60-90 day waiting period and ALL Si's are special order right now. I'm gonna go to a few more dealerships, but I'm sure I'll probably hear the same thing from all of them. That's okay with me though. I might put a deposit on one this week, we'll see. I'm definitely itching for a car, don't have one right now. I'm having to ride my street bike everywhere. That's fun and all, but rain sucks.

So yeah, I just KNOW that I'd regret it if I didn't get the Si, so I'm gonna spend the few extra g's.
