FINALLY Got my Si!!!

WOOO! The wait is officially over,,thank God! I was at the dealership door right when they opened yesterday and after impatiently waiting for all the paperwork and things to be over I drove her home! The only problem was yesterday the heavens opened up on me and it rained buckets almost all day Well, at least I found out where the wipers and defogger were immediatly. It felt great even before I left that a lot of the people that were in the garage area getting their cars worked on were staring at my new baby and that continued as I was driving the Si around town. I had my first paranoid moments too as it was also my Birthday and my girl and I went shopping at the mall a few hours after I got it. I parked near some Lexus and Caddys so maybe if someone wanted to mess with cars it would be the more expensive ones. The entire time in the mall I wanted to get back to my car, lol. I named her "Heidi" too b/c I have never met a ugly Heidi and the Si is a beautiful car. My girl hates that name too so it is even more fun, lol.

Some of my first impressions:

--Wow the windshield is big.--
--I love that new car smell--
--I really need to get used to the blind spots in the back and use my mirrors more.--
--I like how the doors are double sealed and the road noise is almost non existant--
--The ride is smooth and quiet like I am almost flying hehe (I am used to my 92 Accord which is now loud and bumpy)--
--The cornering is friken awsome--
--The key is huge!--
--I love the interior and the seats are really comfortable and I like the AUX plug which I can hook my police radio to and listen via the speakers. I also like the added power sources for my toys and all the places to store things--
--The car looks amazing inside and out--
--Sound system is decent for stock--
--I love that feeling of power right when you launch from 1st gear at a light. It has a nice sound too--

I added the extended 7 year warranty for added protection just in case. I also added the LoJack with early warning at cost and the xzilon paint/interior protection to keep her looking new and clean, also at cost. So grand total per month is $276 which isn't bad at all. I bought a clutch/brake lock and am thinking about a Compustar paging alarm for more peice of mind, might be overkill but even the business mgr told me they are popular cars for theives so I am not taking any chances. I get that all put on Tuesday which sucks b/c I have to leave her there and they will give me a loaner b/c I have to work I am adding tint sometime in the next 2 weeks, prob this weekend and a CAI maybe next month, depending on my money situation. I am thinking about getting the gunmetal HFP wheels too b/c I think they match up nicely with the GG car.
Today I have to drive to the westside so I am thinking about driving near downtown Cleveland for a lil photoshoot and I'll have some pics of her. I have some now but it is totaly stock and if you have seen a GG Si before mine is the same thing :P This wait was so worth it!

I'm 45 and I was just as excited, and this is my 25th vehicle I've owned. Congrats on your ride. BTW, I am in Pa but 1 mile from the Ohio border by Speedway 7. I am also GG.

hehe, I may be weird but at least I know it's V-tec just messin, I have driven Hondas for a lil while now and I was just so impressed with this car I couldn't wait to get it. Plus it is my first brand spankin new car ever, so I am allowed to be a little giddy

I bought mine from Honda of Mentor. I have to take it back up there to get the extras I bought and I am going to ask about the new wheels. I drove it from my house to my step-moms in Westlake and had a blast the entire time, taking deadmans curve and then dropping it into 6th and taking off was fun! Not sure about the 8/5, I would like to but I prob have to work b/c we are behind.

Peas, where at on the eastside?

If you think he's a weird 29 year old for being excited you should have seen me the night I bought my car. I was jumping up and down and actually started to cry while giggling uncontrolably. I turned 30 the next day.

I'm 28 turning 29 in a few months. I actually had a 2004 Acura TL before my Si and I have to admit, I was more excited when I took delivery of the Si than my TL. I guess it was b/c the exclusivity of the Si. When i first bought my TL, I didn't see one for months but then like a tidal wave, everyone and their grandmothers was driving a TL. I guess I'm a sucker for being special. I've had my Si for about a month and only saw 1 other Si on the road. I hope it stays that way.

LMAO. Well, I'm 52, and my official mid-life crisis car is the '06 EX Coupe in Rallye Red. Told my wife it's either the hot red coupe--or a hot blonde. (j/k)

The Si was tempting, but I'd hate to beat it up as a daily driver.
I'll save getting an Si for a retirement gift for myself.

Anyway, welcome to the site, and congrats on your new Si !
Looking forward to the pics.
