HFP Rear lip fitment questions
OK, so my wife backed into the Si with her focus and thoroughly scratched the hell out of the paint on the back corner of my car (just behind the passenger side rear tire), all the way down to the plastic in parts. The damage seems isolated to the bumper, and the bumper looks structurally fine. I was thinking an HFP rear bumper/lip kit might cover the entire area and be a cheaper alternative to taking it into a body shop. Can anybody confirm that the HFP bumper COMPLETELY covers your rear bumper or not? This is an FG2 by the way. I love this car to death, but it is absolutely cursed. First $2500 in hail damage, then hit by a guy running a red light, now wifey....

From the looks of it, you will need the bumper repainted. I got rear ended in May and debated about just covering up the damage with a Mugen Si rear diffuser. The damage however was more than cosmetic and necessitated the hardware under the bumper to be replaced as that was damaged too.
Looks like you will need a repaint on the bumper cover. Sorry to hear that. Too bad you can't just get away with covering up the scrape with the HFP rear lip.
