Fujita Questions - OWNERS PLEASE READ!

So I got my Fujita today, and I get my SI in about 2 weeks. Just curious if I can put the intake on the day I get the SI, or if I should wait until I have put the 'break-in' miles on it. I don't wanna f anthing up right off the bat. Also, I have read that you have to reset your ECU after installing the intake. How do I go about that?? Just remove the negative battery terminal? And lastly, is there anything else I should know before installation?? Thanks in advance for all the input

You won't hurt a thing and you don't have to reset anything. I have the fujita.

You should reset your ECU to ensure you don't throw any codes. Drive easy on the car i.e Don't get on it for about 50 miles.

The negative battery terminal can be removed with a 10mm socket.

I put mine on then pinned it down the expressway, but I guess it couldn't hurt anything to disconnect the battery first.

???? You don't have to reset anything? Yes you should. Before installation, you should take the positive terminal off your battery first, then negative. This method resets the ECU.

Install CAI or SRI, and when finished connect battery, start engine BUT DO NOT REV IT, just let it idle for 15 minutes.

This allows the ECU to recognize and learn the new airflow and won't throw any codes.

If you installed your intake without resetting ECU, you can still reset. Just disconnect negative (ground) for 10 minutes, and start it up, idle for a few minutes again, then you're on your way.

Hell I didn't know you had to let it idle. I reconnected and went. You know when things have reset when you have to put your code in the radio.
