Future Si owner need some advice

Hi all,

I just put a deposit on a Black Si, and ordered the 17" HFP R7 alloy wheels.

My question is this. The car comes with the standard Si wheels right? Am I wrong on this?

When the car comes into the dealership, will they install the 17" HFP wheels and take the standard Si wheels off?

If thats the case, shouldn't I get to keep the set of standard Si wheels?

I'm paying $1080 for the 17" HFP wheels on the accessories sheet.

TIA

Yes, you get to keep the stock wheels too.

You're paying for those standard Si rims in 17".

Unless they swap them for your new ones, you are supposed to keep the stock ones, as that was included in the price of the car.

Wow, ok that makes more sense now. This whole time I've been thinking they wanted a grand for just the option of having the different rims even though they are the same size and everything. I didn't realize you get to keep both sets. Doesn't seem so bad now.

They should have made it an option where you can keep or let them have the Stock rims..and if they kept it you pay the diffrance..

PM Fixer...he got the HFP package and his dealer "bought" his stock rims back and issued him a credit. Not a bad deal at all.

I had to remind my dealer. When I went to pick up my Si,I brought up the stock rims, and at first he said I paid for an upgrade, not the full price for the 18's. I then showed him the paperwork, showing the full price I paid, at which point he agreed to give me the stock rims, but I had to come back several days later to get them. Needless to say I do not plan to purchase any more vechicles from that particular dealership again.

If I was in that situation I'd get the HFP wheels with the summer tires and put some all season/winter tires on the standard ones.

What?! I'm not sure if your salesman is an a**hole or an idiot. Good for you for not going back in the future.

I have a feeling I will hear the same story when I pick up my Si. I'll tell them I paid for 2 sets of wheels. I'll give them the opportunity to discount the HFP wheels if they want to. I just need to find out how much the dealer charges for the standard wheels.

Thanks for the info.

The standard 17" rims are YOURS no matter what.

They are included when you buy the car for 20-22k.

If you so happen to buy the HFP wheels, you're paying money for those, but not to trade wheels, unless they intend on giving you the HFP free, which I really doubt.

Just remeber when you pick up your car, you get the stock rims and tires, put it in the vehicle you came in, unless r trading it in. have one of your friend take home for you.

they come in both 17s and 18s... I'm still on the fence about getting the 17's for my future NBP Si. Also, whether or not to finance them when I pick my car up. I can buy them from hondapartsdeals.com for about $350 less than what my dealer will charge me.... decisions.
