I am really considering switching to the AEM F/IC. Hey Mike, How does the Emanage Ultimate control timing? Do you know how it alters the timing? Is it the same way as the F/IC? I would think it would have to be pretty similar. How else would you change timing? Does the Emanage actually control the ignition firing? Or does it just delay the cam and crank signals?

Pretty interesting. That just makes me want to get it even more and ditch the Ultimate. but he is comparing the Emanage Blue to the F/IC not the Ultimate. Isn't the ultimate alot more advanced? Does the ultimate function is basically the same way by altering the signal to the coil packs? Also there is an O2 sensor computer that has to be wired in for the Ultimate to do something. I'm not sure what that is yet but I hope to find out. I tried doing a search on this subject but I came up with a bunch of threads from this sitre and a few from the other sites. None really explained much about the ultimate and how it functions.

So basically, the only difference between the AEM and the ultimate is the fact that the AEM has a built in MAP sensor. It controls timing the exact same way. Altering cam and crank signals. If you add the GReddy pressure sensor you basically have the same control as the F/IC. If I am wrong please correct me. But if the info you added is correct then this is just as good, if not better than the F/IC. I'm just going to order up the pressure sensor next week and have my tuner do it that way. It will be way better than using Throttle position.

Whatever YOUR tuner recomends, and is more comfortable tuning with, than go with that. But that pressure sensor is worth every penny. |

I'm going this route. I really hope my tuner will do it this way. I don't see why not. He said he was going to tune both ways. With the Throttle position and with the factory MAP sensor. So what would be the difference if he uses the GReddy sensor or the stock sensor? He's doing the same thing just with a more accurate sensor. So I should be fine with this. Hey Mike. Can I install the GReddy sensor but not activate it. If I install it and plug it in but not activate the port in the front panel option under the perameters will that be OK? I want to get the sensor next week and install it but not turn it on because it will obviously mess up my Emanage if i don't have it tuned right away. Correct?
