2 questions for you guys..

1. every time I engage the clutch on my 07 sedan si I hear a little click same with when I push it in. it seems right at the point that the clutch engages on both sides: pushing in and out.

I can feel it in my foot as well.

Does anyone know why this happened and how to fix it?

2. How do I become more knowledgeable with cars in general? I'd like to buy a CAI or exhaust or something but I wouldn't know how to put it on.

How can I learn things about cars having had no background and no father to teach me anything? (and that wasn't a pity remark)

Thx

...yeah i haaaaaaate that. but its not ALL the time. seems to only be around after the car's been driven for awhile & obviously up to temp. been meaning to take the car into my service dept (i work for a Honda dealership) but just been too lazy & trying to avoid the proverbial "unable to replicate" BS...

thankfully, we're prolly not the only ones with this annoying clicking b/t engagements. thank you for bringing this topic to the table...wanted to post up something like this myself.

also its worth noting my previous Civic (see sig) also had that annoying ass clicking too. 5-speed EX coupe. i lubed it numerous times from inside the car & it would only work for a couple days & then return. however, the clicking was ALWAYS on that Civic & only after a pretty decent drive on the new one.

ugh, so annoying i can hear it over my radio!

Well, an expensive car isn't the best thing to learn on. Busting bolts and stripping threads is not fun and can get expensive. If you really want to learn, buy an old car for $1000 and fix it up. Or go to trade school.

There's a switch on the clutch so maybe you're hearing that? Try turning your radio up. You're not driving a Lexus.

negative... i drive the lot cars all day for my job & 6 of them currently in inventory are Si's (both 2 & 4DR variants). absolutely zero noise upon engage points. hence, why im so confused & decently annoyed @ the situation.

read read read. click that search button until you can't think of a nother question and your thumb/pointer finger is a bloody stump. go grab a coffee and sneak it into your local library.
if you really don't know much at all - two books i happen to read where "how cars work" by tom newton and "Building HONDA K-SERIES Engine Performance" by Richard Holdener. these two books are incitefull.
