I went from EP3 to the FA5 because I had a kid. I like the bodylines of the FA5 better than the FG2. Even if I wouldn't have had my daughter I would've still boughth the FA5.

from what ive read below seems like your the only one in denial
i dont think most who bought their cars in 06 anticipated the direction honda took. first the Si sedan then the CTR. i had a Ep and was a member on EPhatch when the same guys started FGcoupe... then when honda turned direction on them even they shot themselves in the foot. a bit unexpected for me as well. i bought my FA5 right about when the Ctr was released. so for me when i was doing the side by side choice i couldnt do the coupe. if i had bought mine 6 mo earlier i dont know what i would have chosen. the international enthusiast civic is the sedan, and the coupe is a USDM/CDM baby turned into niche market for new drivers and very few people with long term coupe biased. FA5 and FD2 are the main desired civics FG2 is also great, but not popular choice from manufacturer/tuner/consumer perspective. def not that EDM hatch all are great cars in the end... but the FA5/FD2 takes the crown within the civics Last edited by KShirza1; 08-01-2008 at 07:42 PM. |

Definitely FG2 -> FA5. There's little to no reason, other than buyer's remorse, to go from a sedan to a coupe. Plenty of reasons to do the opposite.
However, the main reason is definitely because the sedan came out second. If the sedan came out first, then the coupe, there would probably be a LOT more people trading in sedans for the coupe rather than the people who traded in coupes for the sedan. |
