Exclamation HIDs & Hybrid

Hello everyone, noobie here, reppin for the class of 2K8 civic hybrids. I'm sure alot of ppl can agree with me, that our halogens on the hybrids are awful. Has anyone made a switch to HIDs via a retrofit or kit? If so, how do you like it so far and have you had any problems since the electrical system is different than a standard civic? Thanks to all.

So azcx hatch, you have a 08 hybrid? After you put in the pnp kit, did you notice any change in the HIDs when your at "auto-stop" or when driving for long periods?

I have an 08 with 5000k HIDs that i bought from Ebay from 9898 Car China. It comes with a 3yr warranty not like the other ones. Had mine for 2.5 months no problems and love them.

yes I have a hybrid...that why Iam in this forum :)....the only thing I can think of is with the lights on, I do hear some static while listening to the RADIO only...other than that, NO ISSUES at all....auto stop no problem either...install took 20 minutes....10each side...next install is sportline springs, finish rolling my fenders to fit my 17X8F 17X9R rims (MBMotoring)then Iam done...I'll post pics soon

I changed my stockers to and 8000K HID set. It works wonders. I don't recommend changing the high beams, as the low voltage DRL will likely fry the transformer. Good luck changing the bulbs, I had to unbolt the ABS pump and move it slightly to get to the right side bulb. The left was no picnic either.

I mounted mine inside the bumper itself. When you take the front cover off you'll see that the bumper has a hollow spot behind it. This makes a great place that is protected from most of the elements. The ballast is sealed, so I'm not too worried about covering it.
