Question about selling my Hybrid

Hello
I need some help. Due to graduate school and student loans, we have decided to sell our rather new Civic Hybrid. I see in the local paper and craigslist that someone can "take over the payments" of someone else's car. How does this work? I realize if they go to their own bank and get a loan and then pay me, but can I call Honda and have the account put in someone else's name and them start making our payments?
thanks
jared

Not sure but chance's are their credit is going to need to be at least as good as yours if the payments are to remain steady.

get a job at home depot on the weekends to make your payments. Good thing you're avoiding life by making a career of staying in school as much as possible, looks like it's not making any $$$ so far huh?

Grad school, what a joke... You're going to be paying the school loans off until you want to retire!

what the crap fred? are you bitter? you have posted some heat on a couple of my threads. not sure if i know you and you are just joking around or if you are just a hot tempered type of fella...
in order to teach at a university setting i have to go to grad school man... that is what i am doing. though education is not the biggest money making experience, i will get 3 months off during the year to do some other stuff that i want in life.
i refuse to get a job doing something that i hate, therefore i am going to grad school to be able to do something i want.
so enjoy your home depot job i guess... it is not for me anymore

Grad school is worth whatever effort it takes to get thru. Took me many years part time, and worth every penny and every effort. Congrats!!

Did you sell the hybrid yet? I traded in my '07 a month ago with 17.5k miles and a damaged rear bumper that needed replacing for $16k at the dealer. I negotiated the price over the phone and didn't even know I was going to trade my car in til I got there. So that is a legit $16k. I've got a check for $850 coming from the govt from the Postal truck that backed into my bumper. So $16,850 in reality. Dealership now has it on their website for $21,990. Obviously they've fixed the bumper...It was actually quite minor, but very noticable. I had my car listed private party for $18,500 and had told several $17,500 with the extra set of $10 wheels/tires I bought several months ago. I just got $320 for that set of wheels/tires a couple days ago.
