lol. this reminds me of a few weeks ago when aspec had a **** up on their website. they listemd many volk wheels at a rediculously low $1.00 each. obviously a mistake, but i still tried to order a set of wheels. $4 + shipping for a set of 18" re30's was too good to pass up...too bad they cancelled my order. i thought about calling an attorney for this considering it could be well worth the 2k in savings....but oh well.

Look at this email that I just got from them. They said that only one set was shipped. There are at least 2 or 3 sets sold to members on here?
Pricing Policies - Discount Tire Direct Brian, It would be unfortunate to lose your business over this instance. This was an obvious pricing error and was in no way meant to mislead you. After some research, one order was shipped before we caught this mistake and that customer got an unheard of deal, but we reserve the right to suspend these sales due to pricing errors and once this was realized that is what happened. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Customer Care department at 1-800-589-6789. Discount Tire Direct E-Commerce Division esales@discounttire.com |

you probably won't win a lawsuit over a mistake, you can try but all they have to do is prove that they had no intention to mislead. it'll be in tort iirc so the evidence is weighed 50/50... mistakes are common in business, especially with bigger businesses and making an error is not a crime (especially since the buyer was not charged)... now if they did this with intent to sell you something else or sell you something for more money then that is a bait and switch and that is illegal

Actually it is illegal.. it's called "offer and acceptance". I put in my order (my offer) and they accepted it. That right there is a contract. If this was legal, don't you think Walmart would put a big screen tv in there ad for $50 and then once 100s of people were already in their store to buy it, say it was a 'pricing error'? Of course not, because it's illegal and it's illegal for good reason.
