I dont really think there is a need...if you have info let me know...but imo those are made for diesels...I managed an auto parts store for years and the shops would tell me they are for diesels and a waste on gas...there is a company that sells them based on hose size..so if you really want one search that way...

Yes, there is. (And it's the same one for the Si.) Converting to a plug-in hybrid? (Kidding.)

I think there is a need - my car turns over several times during the winter and that's in a somewhat warm garage.. outside in the cold at 10 below zero and I think the car would have trouble starting. |

And if you have predictable hours, a block heater on a timed electrical circuit uses *very* little electricity and saves a good amount of gas. It will pay for itself during the time you own the car. -mr. bill |

Engine block heater is a great toy
Keeps the engine warm enough you avoid losses to a cold start. Autostop function depends on the engine temp. i think 70 degrees is the required engine temp for that to function. A heater means you can engage AS much sooner rather than spending the first few miles at idle. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Obviously you have never used one. Having one here is awesome, -10 to - 30 or even -40 winters. Engine turns over first turn of key. Every single one of my vehicles has/had one. Block heaters should be standard on automobiles in Canada. The keep the fluids in your engine warm do turn over is much easier. Warms the engine Block, hence the name.. Block Heater. Best investment you could do. |
