actaully in 06+ the civic manual cars are getting worse gas mileage than automatics. or at least the window sticker says...

it has to do with gearing. my guess is that the manuals have a more sporty gearing. with identical gearing it would not. ask hypermillers with manual 7th gen hybrids. they can get crazy mileage.

I was getting the gas saving possibility of a manual transmission by looking at the results that it had on the Honda Insight. It did about 12 more mile per gallon in manual transmission (72 mpg). As NIGHTHAWKSI is saying, it’s probably in the gearing.

Here in AZ, you get a "BLUE" environmental plate as opposed to the regular. As bad as this sounds, I won't be able to have a fun car again till this is paid off because bypassing the traffic is priceless.

I think once all the kinks were worked out with a swap, it would be time to put the other motor back in for emissions. It just wouldn't be worth it. I would rather have an older hatch back with a k20 swap.

Wow guess you couldn't wait for a HCH with navi? I had to wait less than 2 weeks, got the color I wanted and the navi in my HCH.

The dealer had quite a few with Nav. but I just couldn't justify the $1400 diff. I used the nav in the Si twice. The car will be mainly used for going back and forth to work and we will use the wifes car on the weekends.
