Hybrid badge

Is anyone willing to depart with their hybrid badge? Currently in my town there are about 2 or so SI coupes and at least 8+ SI sedans running around.

I'm picking up my Si sedan soon and I'm just going to go 100% sleeper status. I drove around my friend's CRX SI for a day and it was annoying seeing all these people running up and trying to race me, so I wanna avoid that.

Going to dremel off the SI badge in front, put a hybrid badge on the back (mainly just for shits and giggles) and take off the I-Vtec decals on the sides.

So if you're willing to sell yours, shoot me a price. Btw, shipping to 55902.

Thanks a lot

You'll need some $350 hybrid mirrors, new wheels, and a new wingless trunk if you want to look authentic.

Posing as a Hybrid? I know hybrid cars can go drive in HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway without passengers but if they catch you *whew* double fines!! There was a guy in LI that got caught for a second time driving with an life size doll in the passenger seat so he could use the HOV lane. What's up with the rims on the hybrid (small gas svaing wheels and no brake ventilation)?

You can probably get a hybrid badge off of eBay for fairly cheap.

I donno about you, but I would feel like SHIT if I got walked by a sedan and saw the words "Civic" and "Hybrid" on the back

I plan on doing the turn-signal mirrors already because imo, they are hawt. Wingless, no. But I'm not too worried about that since anyone can slap on a wing, and this one is pretty tame.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction for the badge.

As for the wheels, no can do I HATE those things. I'm thinking some dark graphite gray rims with the taffy white will look pretty sexy, so it's gonna be a sexed up "hybrid".

Well the way I see it is this. How many people can honestly differentiate between Base civics, an SI AND a hybrid? Not many.

Then you slap on a Hybrid badge on the back, that's gonna fool 9/10 people. Seeing is believing for someone who knows nothing about the new civics.

And then you have to take into the fact that I'm only 18. I think jsut about anyone would expect big SI stickers and logos all over the car if it was indeed an SI. I mean, what kind of kid would want to bring down his car with hybrid badges? Me :)

oh my, i think that might just say something about the people in the area you live.

dont take me as trying to be rude. where i live, it's rice city. people know their shit around here, a hybrid badge wouldnt fool anyone, not here.

do what you please tho, i think it'd be funny to see a hybrid badge on it, and then hear the vtec as you pass by LOL

Not like that here Dealers here mark the SI as a "V6" edition civic... Not only that, but my automatic sedan that I have now is SLOW AS PISS, and one of my friend's parents asked if it was supercharged from the factory

When I asked him whatever gave him that idea, he just laughed and said the whine in reverse tricked him. Oh my...

This is a very strange (nice way of saying stupid) idea. I have an idea though...when someone wants to race you in your Si...don't race and it will save you gas.

Who said ANYTHING about handicap parking?... Not only that, but here in good ole rochester minnesota, we don't even have "hybrid" lanes where you either need a hybrid or to be carpooling to be in it.

I just want an SI that says hybrid on back

Don't really care if you guys think it's stupid I think it's stupid to put boost on a brand new car and run the risk of ruining the engine. I think it's stupid to gut the interior of a new car to make it a few tenths of a second faster. I think it's stupid to dress an EX/LX/DX up as an SI. (Note that I'm dressing DOWN).

People do stupid things to their cars. But.. it's their car, so it doesn't really matter. If I wanna run this SI into a brick wall so there will be one less on the road, I will!

i live in southern california. SoCal traffic = loads of hybrid car so they can use carpool.

plus everyone has to advertise they're hybridness of the car. loads of stickers about the environment and crap. i saw one prius which had a huge (like probably 36"x10" thing that just said 'H Y B R I D'

people assume sticker on an obiously non ricey car = hybrid. "so then what does i-VTEC mean then" shoudla seen the look on my face...

OHHH, I totally see what you mean, lol, my bad man. Wasn't trying to attack you either, btw.

But... I'd say majority of people willing to race him will see that and think, Si. Maybe not, maybe they'd take it as hybrid as well. Who's to say?

Which can go 0 to 60 faster? A Toyota Prius or Honda Civic Hybrid? I know which one looks better!
