No fair, though. It's only the San Diego hills that are my downfall. We're Okies, too, and if I still lived where the terrain were like a whole wheat pancake, I'd be giving you a good run. As it is, I'll have to settle for high-40s MPG, grrrrr.

Ouch! $55 for an oil change? That's about $35 more than an oil change on my Si with synthetic (DIY, of course) meaning I can buy an extra tank of gas plus a little bit more (~15gallons or so) over the course of an oil change interval of 7500 miles. Since I average about 38 MPG in mixed driving, the extra 15 gallons of gas I could buy with my savings bumps my cost compariable adjusted MPG to ~41. Starting to get into the bottom of HCHII territory!

I'm still thinking of picking up the extra underbody panels that you guys get and sticking them on my Si. Thats got to be worth something.

That's great. Coincidently, my 08EX MT just hit 311miles on the current tank when I pulled into the garage this evening. My SG says I've used 7.4 gallons so far (right at 42mpg). We'll see how accurate that is when I fill up next week (I'm calibrating both my SG's right now so the fuel offset is set to 0).

I continue to wish the HCHII came with a MT....

I would have seriously considered one with a M/T. If it had I imagine it would become a much more entertaining and engaging car with 10-20% higher MPG potential.
