Honda Civic New Exhaust
I'm thinking about putting a new exhaust (maybe flowmaster or something of the sort) on my 2006 HCH.
Think it would sound bad? or what? and opinions? |

Or... if you're into S-steel welding...here's my new custom made double exhaust:

Sure brainiacs... laugh all you want... glad I gave you another great day.
We don't get FD2's over here (except for imports with the steering wheel on the wrong side). So the FD3 is the only option to buy. I do happen to like this model, so it's the only think I can work on. But go ahead... make fun of me. I'll continue with my M&M intake and chip tuning, resulting in a minimum of 140bhp (total) +20% more torque. That's why I upgraded the exhaust to a larger diameter...if you tune correctly you gotta create an unrestricted airflow (in and out) too. Oh and don't think I bought this car for it's milage... couldn't care less. The only advantage I get from it now is that I don't get to pay any road tax. Have a good one! |

It looks cool from the back, but how much exhaust do you think is gonna wanna travel through that way? I bet once it's installed and you compared exhaust flow you'd find that most of it would rather take the straight path.

![]() You would get a better improvement in performance if you ripped out all the hybrid crap & swapped in a K20. Nevermind that because you're too busy trying to add a useless mod to a car which was never built for anything performance. I wouldn't even put duals on my S/C'd K20. |

Never said it didn't look nice but was stating that his 1.3L motor doesn't need the extra exhaust flow. Sorry but it's functionless.
BTW to HCHybrid I highly doubt you'll see 140hp & a +20% gain in torque from all of your mods combined. |

That's probably because some people over there still think you need a huge 8L V8 hemi to reach 200 bhp. Over here in Europe we're used to tuning little engines dude. We've got 1.5L 4 cil. engines w/ 220 bhp straight from the factory. But you're missing the point. An engine swap is old school... getting the most out of a hybrid is much more of a challenge to me. Going back to old school is easy but Will also get me back on starting to pay road tax. This is just a start; electr. engine / transmission upgrade is next... Got experience in that area too? Useless mods? Sure pal, save a horse and ride a cowboy.
Meanwhile I'll learn something new. If you cant handle that stay away from the Hybrid section. The splitter is build to seperate the flow evenly btw... works like a charm. But go ahead, laugh all you want. It's my ride and I like it, period. |

Actually a 6.1L V-8 Hemi makes about 425 bhp over here in America.
I'm curious to see how you're going to upgarde that CVT tranny you have. Fine then, run a dyno before your duals are installed & afterwards. I'm willing to bet that you get no gains or even worse lose hp. ![]() Got any wind tunnel testing to prove this about your splitter or are you going by what you want to believe? |
