Auto-stop: Does your car still do it in the cold?

I can't remember the last time my car autostopped. Today, I took a video of it with 7 or 8 bars on the battery, I was 20 miles into my commute, at a deadstop, for a while thru a red light and the temp was 33 degrees F.

It's hurting my mpg's to never auto-stop. Is this common due to the temp or something else or do I need to bring her in?

Just found this thread: 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid Auto Stop Issues - GreenHybrid - Hybrid Cars

I had my defroster on. I'll turn it to Auto on the way home and see what happens.

That was a good catch - I would not have known what to tell you other than turn all a/c control to "off." I turn the defroster off as I am coming to a stop so the car will auto stop. I will turn it back on after I get rolling again. The car will auto stop with the a/c on if the ambient air is not too hot - over 95F i believe.

Sure enough, my car has been auto-stopping all over the place. Got 5-10% better FE today, Woohoo!

I'm me
Always helps to read the fine print then it comes to even cars. Glad this issue has a simple fix.

Yeah, it does auto-stop after it warms up but if its still really cold, it just starts back up after a few seconds.
