Okidoki, projector headlights have been ordered...soon you will not be alone in Holland with those lights ;-)
did not order the tail-lights...looking closely it look likes see-trough "glass" with a black background...which is not "smoked" glass... dont know, for now i'll stick with the headlights...

Very nice! I really like this color. I went to look at the new Insight II at lunch yesterday. The dealer had a PMM EX in the showroom- this color really looks good on the car. I was very impressed with the layout. I thought it was going to feel tight inside but the tallish cabin really helps make it feel pretty spacious.
I didn't have time to drive it but plan to soon. I love the fact that people are consistently able to get 50+ mpg in real world driving. Out of curiosity, why did you get the Civic vs the Insight? I follow the InsightCentral forums - although not a member (also spend time on CleanMPG and EcoModder- where I am member) and have seen your posts there. I know you can get great deals on HCHII now so maybe that's why. The only thing keeping me from getting one of these two cars (aside from the fact that my wife would kill me) is that lack of a manual transmission. I'm afraid that I would really miss this. |

I had been wanting an Insight II for many months, but then realized that the Civic Hybrid WITH LEATHER AND NAV would cost about the same as the Insight EX. I've always liked the 8G Civic body style, and don't need a hatch or huge trunk. The PMM color (as you stated) with the beige leather is really beautiful. I also like the driving visibility better. The Civic Hybrid has XM, 4-wheel disc brakes, and equivalent gas mileage. I surmised from first-drive tests that it was a more comfortable highway cruiser. I like the dashboard and overall interior better than the Insight. And I like that the Civic has proven quality and isn't a first-year production car. My usual tendency is to want what's new-and-greatest, but in this case, the Civic offered so much more for an unbeatable deal. And, as you would expect, I love the car and am getting 50-60 MPG reliably on every outing, depending on city/freeway use. Hope that helps!

Test drove the 2010 Honda Insight today while waiting for the service check was an interesting car....the object is to keep the car dash color green for the ost efficent drive. The car stores up to 3 different driving patterns so if someone is driving the car too hard it stores that information. Not a good car for me (speed deamon) considering the only way to get true fuel ecomony outta this car is to drive like grandma
but im sure some ppl would like it. Its gotta sharp looking exterior (kinda looks like the toyota prius) and a nice interior. interesting car.![]()

This is how we ended up with the Civic Hybrid. I went to test drive the Insight and then my wife wanted to test drive the Civic hybrid. We weren't planning on buying a car. But she like the Civic better than the Insight. The Insight just does not have the power. Well again I do have a lead foot and do drive a V6 Accord. But I wasn't impressed.
