Depends on the dealer. Mine does a non-negotiable "Plain and Simple" price thats below MSRP but (at least in my experience) they won't go any lower.

MSRP Hybrid base: $24,320
P&S Hybrid base: $22,637

Considering how many cars sit on lots today I imagine you could talk down many dealers into selling you an 09 in the $21,000 range.

Congrats. And welsome. What color did you get?

I got an EX-L last fall. Really wanted navi and leather so I had to go the EX route. Had leather been avail in the Hybrid, I prob would have gone that route.

I went to a dealer yesterday they quote me 22,500 for a Civic Hybrid PMM no leather/no navi. I thought thats way too high, considering the economy is so bad, and when I looked on edmunds.com the "what others are paying" price is 21,100. When the dealer quoted me that price I just walked right out.

Thanks!

Both my wife and I are fond of Alabaster Silver Metallic, so that's what we ended up getting. This color seems to be in demand, as a lot of the local dealerships did not have it in stock. Our other vehicle has a navi and side mirror defrosters which we get a lot of use out of.

I'm a gadget guy, so the HCHII's integrated navi and voice features a lot of fun I just wish they had added a backup camera input. The NavTool, PAC VCI-HON2, and TVandNav2Go all require replacing/splicing the flexi-ribbon cable which seems a bit more risky than I would like...

there is a $2000 rebate "marketing support" that you can combine with the special apr for the 2009 civic hybrid. just price out a civic hybrid on edmunds and click on incentives. you can easily find a new one base for only $19,845 via ebay.

unless you're set on the 09, why not look for a leftover brand new 08? thats what i did with my SI (roughly same prices as the Hybrids). i got my 08 SI with the navi for 20,300, before taxes and warranties and stuff. which was a good 3700 below the 09 without navi.

The '09s have so MANY improvements that I would think carefully about buying a lelftover '08, and make sure you consider all the changes.

Hi there,

Just picked mine up Monday. Wasn't quite sure about it but I think we made the right choice. Pearl white with Navi/no leather. 21.2k + tax

I got the feeling that they really were desperate to move them.

Yes, that was before taxes and tag.
