new wheel color and night time shoot.....

well, as some of you know my gf has a 08 tw lx sedan with white wheels. it got kinda old after a while, kinda blah. so we decided to paint her si wheels and chrome grill black. i did a night time shoot tonight, so enjoy... feel free to compliment and especially flame, lol.... i got white centercap h's on order, should i put them on?

they got soooo dirty, she never washes her car, so they were starting to get messed up, so this was a better solution, trust me the white on white was too plain...

I think that wheel contrast to the body colour is a good thing, but I also think that the pitch black went a little too dark. What I see in the photos are the wheels disappearing in the pit of blackness that is the wheel well. The former white looked good, especially the red Honda logo centre cap, and it was given visibility and definition by the contrasting tires and spokes. That light white could have been toned down.... Yah, silver or gun metal would have been safer.

Since it is your GF's car, I think some of the wheel's hardware could be made a little more interesting. Have a look here for some potential inspiration.

Personally I hate painted wheels. What the heck is wrong with alloy?

that said, the black makes them look like winter rims, the white was slightly better.
