1.9/2.9% AHFC Financing on Civic Sedans pulled?

Hi all,

I'm considering a Honda Civic Sedan as my first choice of car and first just wanted to say thank you to this board for all the information and cool modifications I have been able to see here. My question to the people much smarter than me is this: Recently (last night even) on the Honda Web Site it had a "Current Offer" for AHFC 1.9% financing on a 24-36 month loan or 2.9% on a longer term loan. Now when I check back today...it's gone! It said last night that it'd be good through July 7th, I thought...in fact, it just started on May 1st according to the website. I guess I should have printed it out but I assumed it wouldn't go anywhere! Now I'm really upset because I was already getting excited to buy with the last component in place. Does anyone know what the situation is with this? Did the website just screw up or are they not feeling the need to offer good financing all of the sudden?

I enquired with my dealer and there is only the 2.9% available... no 1.9%

I had an 02 TL Type S financed through AHFC for 4.9%. An 02 TL! I traded that for my current 07 EX coupe and financed, again, through American Honda. The rate was 8.9%! I asked why I couldn't get the same rate as my TL. The finance person at the Honda dealership said Honda can pull the special financing at any time. Kinda sucks but Honda has the power. Hope this helps in some way...

They still have the financing, as far as I know. I just bought an 08 EX for the 2.9% financing. Remember, it's for applicants with high-tier credit. You need at least a 720 credit score.

Thanks for the follow-ups everyone! Yes, they have placed it back on their website and I'm in negotiations with a dealer to get my Civic! I'll be so excited to enter the group here.
