r18 headers and cel
does n e one know if the headers for the r18 motor will def throw a cel? and if so does the cel elimanator really work? cause i just purchased my headers yesterday, and today i plan on gettign rid of my dc sports axle back exhaust to some chick up the street and getting a new exhaust. im not sure which one yet, but im def gonna go catback. but the main question is will my cel light come on and does the cel eliminator really work?

You wont pass a 'legit' inspection. But form what I hear it isnt too hard to 'get around' the issue

Then what does it have jack ass? It's a pipe that connects the cylinder head to the exhaust, i.e. header, exhaust manifold. If you can't except other people and their mods no matter what the engine then why don't you find the log out button, it can be found at the top of every page.

I never said it was a header. i used "header" because it is called a header where ever you choose to buy it, even though the header for the R18's are internal, and are not traditional headers.
If you have nothing positive to contribute to the topic then capital F off. |

Get some dyno pulls stock and then get some pulls after you ruin a wonderful engine.
You do know taking that first collector out is going to really mess with the R-18 don't you? Sensors will be dead headed. You will all but loose the 1.5L mode. That would be your Vtec. You will screw any chance of the engine being able to deal with pumping loss. You wont have anyway to tune the poor motor. Please post up stock and mod'ed dyno's. Enjoy the trip. :) |
