I don't think they have any 6 speed manuel in any lower trim models rsx only type a and type r have six s2k the higher end accord and a few others but I doubt the other civic have a 6 speed as far as I know the new si is the first civic to ever have a 6 speed

I believe the euro civic is called the Civic Type S, and yes it seems to be the R18 with a 6speed...

"Both petrol and diesel models have a slick 6-speed manual transmission. If you want an auto gearbox then only petrol models can be had with this facility. "

yes that wouldnt matter though I mean u can swap an ep3 5speed onto our k20's there shouldn't be any thing to prevent u from swapping an r tranny with another r tranny

I think they did it because of their gas prices compared to ours...just a guess?

Yeah I know. It would help a lot. I average 32mpg with 50/50 highway and city. I was reading that forum and they average 40+.

NickC89, They have Imperial Gallons which is bigger than US Gallons.

So in reality they don't get much more MPG

my dad's lx , cruises at 5-600 rpm less on the highway[auto] compared to my 5-speed.....my theory is that honda does this to bring mpg figures to near identical figures , between auto and stick models....to sell more slush boxes and increase profits....
if the automatics can cruise at a lower rpm, then a sixth gear would be a definate plus....

i test drove the euro civic[diesel]......it is a blast to drive!!!! read>>torque!!!!! feels and actually is quicker than the current r18....gets way better milage,to boot...
looks too damn euro-cheesy ,though....way too much plastic glitter.

extra ponies are just a few psi(s) away.... cant wait 'till the damn retarded marketing[honda usa/canada] get there heads out of their butts and finally unleash the diesel on our shores...
