Non SI with modded suspension

Are you guys that are running aftermarket shocks/springs and r/swaybar and tires happy with the results??
Would you say the car handles good, or just average compared to other lower end sports cars/coupes/sedans

Im just asking, because i have 17x7 wheels with decent tire, si rear sway, and so far the car is below average compare to past cars i have owned. It has alot of understeer, feels heavy in the corners, not much power to come out of the corners, no LSD, floatyshocks. So im trying to decide if i should get the HFP shocks or just keep my car somewhat stockish? Im gettting a slight impression that the R18 has too much going against it in terms of performance

Any input would be great!, im not trying to build a race car, but would like to gain above average performance if im going to go about spending a few grand on suspension.

CUSTOM!!! spend the money on those custom koni's that is going around the forum... by far the best setup you can get for track use.

My car handles pretty well at the track right now and I have a R18.

The total setup should not just be suspension. You need brakes and very good tires. Our cars are actually pretty light and can fly around the track as long you know how to drive it and enter a corner with minimal braking to carry over the speed out of the turn.

My setup right now is:
suspension
- function form version 2 coils-overs
- BE 22MM rear sway bar with corsports adjustable endlinks
- Skunk2 camber arm
- Progress front sway bar
- Megan 4pt front underbrace
- Megan 2pt Brace (LOL total of 6pt underbrace)
- Cusco v-bar (BEST BAR!! you can get for r18 chassis)
- B-pillar bar
- C-pillar rear upper strut bar

With all this, I got a local shop that is highly known for building track cars to complete my alignment and setup for track specs.

Rims/Tires:
- Kosei K1 16x8 weighs in at 14lbs per rim
- Toyo RA1 and also used before Falken RT615

Brakes
-Rotora Slotted Rotors
-HP PLUS Pads
-SS brake lines
-Motul Brake Fluid

Engine:
-Weapon R headers
-Megan downpipe
-custom 2.5" pipping to 5Zigen fireball exhuast
-NST pulley
-Fidenza Flywheel
-Fujita SRI
-Motul Oil

I suggest to get wider rims and better sticker tires. Complete your setup to optimize what you want your car to handle.
