DIY: Fujita Short Ram part #1926 on my 2007 R18...(34 pictures)
I'll start by saying that I tried to post this DIY in that section but it said I don't have access to post there....OKAY.....well maybe if one of the powers that be approves of it, they would be kind enough to move this thread for me.
OKAY....here goes... First make sure you have everything on the parts list from Fujita: ![]() These are the directions they give you. Everything I'm posting is also pictured in those instructions: ![]() Remove this rubber hose...squeeze and twist until it comes off: ![]() Press down on this MAF sensor tab and pull it off carefully: ![]() ![]() Press these 2 tabs simultaneously and lift up on harness: ![]() Unclip these 3 metal tabs: ![]() Remove the top airbox cover to expose air filter...remove that too: ![]() Unscrew these 2 phillips bolts: ![]() Remove MAF sensor from top of airbox...I put the phillips screws back in since you won't need them anymore: ![]() Install MAF sensor using supplied allen bolts with supplied allen key: ![]() Now this is your 3/8 wratchet, 6" extension, and 12mm socket ![]() Use this tool to unsrew this bolt: ![]() ....and this bolt: ![]() Un-do this clip and this phillips screw that connect to lower half of airbox: ![]() Now you can wrestle with the lower half of airbox. Gotta find the right angle. Once removed you will see this open space: ![]() Next remove battery and battery box. Once out, removed these 2 bolts... once you do that, removed the plastic air tube connected to it: ![]() Now remove the rubber elbow connected to the throttle body. Use the phillips screwdriver: ![]() Now remove whatever this thing is called by undoing the pressure clips. I used a needle-nose plier. Hopefully by now your car is cooled off because a very tiny amount of blue coolant will come out. No need to worry.... if the car is cooled down enough, it should be about a tablespoon worth. (Don't quote me on it.....that all I got.) ![]() Using those same pressure clips, put on the longer of the 2 hoses supplied by Fujita and connect each end here: ![]() .....and here: ![]() You can route this hose in this same spot as the OEM one: ![]() Now with this double clamp provided by Fujita, make sure you seat it down flush onto the throttle body. Then tighten (it take a while...lol) until you have about 1/4" to 3/8" thread exposed: ![]() This is one of the mounting bolts to the ECM, un-bolt it...don't lose it: ![]() Put that bolt on this bracket in the circle hole (not the oval hole) and mount it back where you unbolted it from the ECM...(don't tighten fully yet) ![]() Get these pieces ready...... ![]() ....and mount them loosely like so: ![]() Put your intake into the throttle body, line it up flush with that bracket on the right, and once you like the position it's in, tighten down these remaining bolts: ![]() Put the other shorter Fujita hose on (ONE END IS BIGGER THAN THE OTHER). I almost went crazy over this... ![]() ![]() Put your battery back in COMPLETELY. The install your Fujita Air Filter and tighten the phillips bolt: ![]() And step back to admire your finished product: ![]() Oh shit wait!!! Don't forget to plug back in your MAF sensor plug... you might need that... ![]() Next chug the NOS energy drink they give you....they are really good IMHO: ![]() Lastly, install stickers randomly and go V-takkin.....ENJOY!!! ![]()

sounds faster, but in reality, it's not faster.....no HP or TQ.....or just not enough for the butt-dyno to notice.

I have this intake and an axleback. Together, they both create enough noise to make the car sound faster. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news...

Wow this does look alot more difficult to install then it really is! I agree its the pictures but your pictures do help me and the rest of us with installation. I would like to do this, but it would be such a hassle having to remove it and put back the stock air box whenever I bring my car in for maintenance at Honda or have a smog check/test LOL.
