what suspension do you all rec.

well im new to this gen of civic, had my lx coupe for 9 days. this is my daily driver so i plan on 18s, but want to keep a very nice ride. what all do you recommend as far as lowering the car? brand? coils vs springs? i like to stay as low as possible in the summer without rubbing, exhaust will most likely stay stock. and i will be getting the hfp lip kit once the 2 ft of snow from yesterday melts, just curious which routa you guys have taken since i plan on ordering stuff next week.

Just cut like 3 coils off the factory springs, then heat-up whatever's leftover, and have a few of your overweight buddies sit on the car until they cool-down. That's how you get the fo' real gangsta' ride.

HFP suspension, it gives a nice 1" drop and it handles better...

I recommand: Neuspeed 2" drop (Race-Spring), SPC Camber (all around), 18x7.5 rims, 225/35/18 tires, even tho. i'm ride on 225/40/18's for now.
Here's an old pix:

$200.00 for the springs (shipped) and $400.00 for camber all around (when 1st came out), now you can get it for $200.00. Man i feel rip off!

My rims are 18x8, so will I not be able to do the Neuspeed 2" drop? Or will it still be ok with the 18x8 rims?

I think you're gonna experience some rubbing issue, cuss i'm running 18x7.5 rims, offset @ 45, and 225/40/18 tires, w/camber and it almost touches. But not too sure about 18x8.

i wonder if it would help though doing the same drop you did, but just going down to a 35 tire instead of the 40? i know it would probably still be close.

LOL! Not really yet because i haven't even had them a year and i shopped forever b4 i bought them. i really like them and get a lot of compliments, but i wish now i would have done more resaerch into how it would affect my lowering capabilities for a more aggressive stance. oh well. i'll figure something out. LOL!
