Here are my results for today.
Altitude : 2100Ft (pretty high)
Temp: 39F (Pretty Cold)
Humid: 35%

R/T: 0.093
60': 2.545
330: 7.055
1/8: 10.735
1/4 mile : 16.827

BlueVNdragon: Nice times!! 16.11 is commendable! I think my LX coupe MT is more like mid-high 16's because it feels sooooo much slower than my Integra GSR.

Was it cold out when you ran? My LX does feel faster sucking in that cold air now that we got freezing temps here in NY. I also think it's beginning to get faster as the motor is breaking in more (17k mi. on the odo). My '01 Civic EX MT wasn't at its fastest until it had ~30K mi.
Good job.

I havnt had the chance to bring my car to a track over here in china but i've got a video so you can see the 1.8 civic sedan in action from standstill too 200 km/hr... had to slow down quite a few times as it was at night and there were corners and other cars on the highway..

[quote=cojaro;78942]I just looked the times up

from autos.msn.com/research
0 - 60 times (coupes)
Si (6M) - 7.38
LX (5M) - 8.04
DX (5M) - 8.18
EX (5A) - 9.52

Quarter Time and Speed(coupes)
Si (6M) - 15.68 @ 93.20
LX (5M) - 16.31 @ 87.90
DX (5M) - 16.44 @ 86.70
EX (5A) - 17.35 @ 82.00

Say it aint so! Anyone know how the ex trim level is the slowest? =[ I own an ex (automatic transmission, no mods) idk i geuss i just didnt expect for the ex to be the slug between the lx and dx, what a bummer

That's not unexpected considering they tested an auto EX versus a manual LX/DX

I agree. Even my 99 Grand am SE V6 auto ran a 15.7 1/4@ approx 89mph at the track when new, granted...that was with the airbox open (yep, when I was young, dumb and stupid). Not sure about the 60mph mark. My EX Man feels just a tad slower, not a whole second slower though. Not bad for just under half the motor. FYI, Car and Driver rated the Grand am SEv6 @ somewhere around 16.3 or 16.5. GA GT's were rated at 15.7 1/4 due to a whopping extra 5hp..but with a quicker tranny. The time ratings by MSN autos, car and driver..etc..are usually off.

EX has a sunroof = more weight than lx and dx. EX also has more speakers = more weight than lx and ex. More weight = slower.

From Honda site:
DX. 2628
LX. 2685
EX. 2738

Ex is about 100 pounds heavier.

Motortrend got 0-60 in 7.7 seconds in a Civic LX Auto. R18 aint that slow. CRV is slower and so is the Fit.

ex maybe 100lbs heavier but that doesnt constitute nearly a second slower. at most it would be like .3 of a second.

Yea but they run the EX with an auto. The Ex is heavier then LX/DX. I got a 06 Ex coupe manual and my buddy got an 07 Lx coupe auto and i can take him from a dead stop by a considerable amount being almost the same car.

Car and driver, with an LX sedan (manual) got 16.1sec @ 89 or 87mph.

I now with Tein SS coilovers, and shifting at 6800rpms should hit 15.9sec.
You guys need practice racing, if you guys with a stock LX cant beat "car and Driver's quarter mile time, you just need practice launching. Got to admit this time car and Driver did a good job racing the civic. with a stock civic its hard to beat their time.
