Few Questions about Civic Specifics
I'm looking into buying an 8th Gen Civic soon. I can't decide between the EX and the Si. I want the navigation system, and that's pushing the Si kinda more than I'm wantng to spend, but I have a few general questions, pertaining to the EX coupe:
1.) Can the leather steering wheel cover, iPod jack, fog lights, and XM be ordered and installed if not from factory? The reason I ask this is because I want the navi system, but I can't afford the bells and whistles right now on a car. I don't know if the car I'm looking at, which is around $20,7xx for a Rallye Red EX coupe w/ Navi has these options or not, but I really want XM. I just need to know if these options are able to be installed by the dealer after it's bought if it wasn't installed by the factory. Also, any pictures of the Atomic Blue or Grey interior, or just general exterior/interior shots of the EX would be greatly appreciated. I would love a Fiji Blue Si, but I can't find them around Minneapolis.

You can order those parts seperate and install later. You might want to search around and read about the iPod link though. There are a ton of bad reviews out there.

I have an Si without Navi...reason......4 month longer wait time. Good luck trying to find one now. I hear there are some dealers in Maine who have a few on the lot which is rare. Ipod is all set, plugs right in below the power point, standard. XM is built in but I believe theres a big upfront fee for service (not positive).
Another thing to think of is fuel consumption. The Si needs premium and gets roughly 8 mpg worse than an EX. (ex: 70mph = 3300rpm in 6th gear) Also if you're like me and love the i-VTEC, gas mileage is considerably worse. I'm averaging about 22-24 mpg |

I'm not so worried about the gas milage, though more is always better. I currently have a Grand Am GT averaging about 20-26 mpg.
I have the navi car I'm looking for in the EX, it's only 20k, which is a good price, I think. I don't know if I can wait that long for a Civic Si with Navigation, and the price is more than I want to pay (though its still cheap). I was just wondering if they could all be installed afterwards. Don't all navigations come with XM? or is that only on the si?
