How to find your MPG

Hi, i live in canada, so i use the x amount of L/100KMS method.
How do i find out my MPG??
I dont even know how many liters go into a US gallon.
If im getting 600KMS on 42L of gas, how many MPG is this?
Thanks in advance.

That is appx. 372.8 Miles and 11.1 gallons (US).

That translates to appx. 33.6 MPG.

1 KM = 0.62137 miles
1 Liter = 0.2642 gallons

As a reference, I saw the other thread on 'extended MPG'. Please see this thread for the user-posted results of MPG on the R18 (DX/LX/EX):

31.6 MPG for all DX/LX/EX logged replies.

This is up 0.2 MPG from the averages of 415 respondents (31.4mpg), which continues to remain well within the trending average.
That was updated on Oct 8. I usually update the running averages about once per quarter.

600 kilometers = 372.822715 miles
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

42 l = 11.0952262 US gallons
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...al&btnG=Search

372.822715 / 11.0952262 = 33.6020833

If you are in Canada, arent they measured in KPL (kilometers per liter) instead of MPG?

I don't think that statement is correct. If your using 1 Litre to travel a kilometer it's time to get rid of that car. Kilometers per Litre is the correct way of determing mileage, same as Miles Per Gallon (MPG).

We use litre(s) per 100 kilometres.

I sometimes use this: http://www.teaching-english-in-japan.net/conversion/mpg
