More issues with 06 than 07?

Now i know 06 was the first year for the 8th gen but im curious.....has the 07's been tightented up anymore than the 06? I have read on a few forums of several issues (especially the 06's) and was wondering if the quality of these cars is off more than previous year honda's or is it a case where you see more negative points about a vehicle just because its a forum.....and people who dont have problems don't post at all.

I am just curious because i really like the new civic coupe and would like an 07? Will the 08 be the exact same quality wise? Or will Honda tighten it up even more if they are hearing about issues from many people?

Is there many people here with few to no defects or failing parts with a good number of miles/km's on their cars?

It's a general rule that any vehicle that gets a complete redesign has more bugs to work out than one that has been in production for a while. Unless Honda's quality control falls off in general, you can expect that the 07's and later will be about as reliable as the Accords and Odysseys that have changed little over the past few model years.

As far as specific experiences, just lurk around and see what people are complaining about. Since we haven't even had a full year with the 2007 models, it will be hard to tell for sure if everything has been ironed out.

I've never had this problem with mine, but what I have noticed is that the shifting of gears is so much noisier than what it was in my old EK.
