I am sorry to let you R18s down.....

Hello, I had R18 custom Turbo planned... however,
When I talked to my korean / Japanese friends.. living in there right now..
Well, Korean friend recommended staying with R18 and invest in turbo kit.
Japanese friend recommended me engine swap so I don't have to worry about the internals.

I decided to get my engine swapped....

K20A
Found in:
2001-2005 Honda Civic Type-R (EP3)
Displacement: 1998 cc
Compression: 11.5:1
Power: 212 hp (215 PS, 158 kW) @ 8000 rpm
Torque: 149 ft·lbf (202 N·m) @ 7000 rpm
Redline: 8400 rpm
2001-2006 Honda Integra Type-R (DC5)
Displacement: 1998 cc
Compression: 11.5:1
Power: 217 hp (220 PS, 162 kW) @ 8000 rpm
Torque: 152 ft·lbf (206 N·m) @ 7000 rpm
Redline: 8500 rpm
2002-2006 Honda Accord Euro-R
Displacement: 1998 cc
Compression: 11.5:1
Power: 217 hp (220 PS, 162 kW) @ 8000 rpm
Torque: 152 ft·lbf (206 N·m) @ 7000 rpm
Redline: 8500 rpm

This is coming either this month or next month.
Depends on how my bank loan will go :)
The engine cost is around 5000~6000. CDN
My baby LX.. will finally have something so that it can drive with Si....
They always left my LX behind
anyways. Sorry to let you R18s down.. I really wanted to show you the potential of R18 engines.
Whoever outthere like Wakko, Enrique, etc,,,
Keep it UP! I can't wait to see some good results coming out :)

If I had a coupe, that's exactly what I would do too. Go for it man! Good luck and I can't wait to see the final product.

Wait, wait, wait..........you're going to be getting a throttle cable??? AWESOME! Good luck with the swap!

...Somehow, it's sad that it's not even the EP3-R engine I'm amazed about, rather the lack of DBW he'll have...

Hello,
Sorry about delayed reply,
I live around GTA Area. Burlington specifically.
I am SUPPOSE to pay 6000~ for the whole complete kit that comes with transmission + ecu + wires + mounts + etc.
HOWEVER, since its SO HARD TO GET IT NOW, the person increaed it to
7~8g. NOW I AM thinking.....
AH.... K20Z3 = 4500~ , K20A = 7~8g.....
3000~ difference? I might as well get K20Z3 and put turbo.

I am still thinking...
(I Also called other places but they don't have a chance to get it anywayz.)

I Know, But I am Thinking, ,,,,
Now I found a 6~g K20A motor.
But hey, the problem is that I'm going to have to do the internals anyway with K20Z3... .. Really, IT doesn't matter which way I go.. i'll be spending same amount of money for the similar hp.
K20Z3 (5000~) + Internals (2~3g) = K20A (7~8)
See what I mean?

Not to rain on your parade but you could easily trade your car in and get a factory warrantied Si for the amount you're going to be paying by the time this is all said and done with.
