LX sedan AT or MT

Hello guys,
How yo all doing? well this is my first post so please forgive me for any mistake ok me and my wife are thinking to buy cars, we both like civic, she is going to buy 2007 civic hybrid and i am going to buy LX sedan but i am not sure which transmission should i buy? i want to keep this car atleast 7,8 years, so let me ask you few questions.

1) is MT's maintenance expensive compare to AT?
2) MT need more maintenance than AT?
3) in this forum i read alot about 3rd gear problem?
4) how much do you expand on maintenance in a year (including oil change)

i have corolla AT for 3 years and all maintenance it needs is oil change on time but i heard you have to change clutch and gear box. please help me out with your experience. thank you so much in advance

The answer to all your questions is: It depends on how you drive. But in gerneral, MT cost less to maintain and you can expect the car to cost around $1,500 less than an AT.

Civic in gerneral is a very reliable car so I don't expect to see any problem for the first three years. Again, this also depends on how many miles you drive per year. The civic also has the highest resale value for a Compact car.

Performance wise...there's no difference...both has the same engine. I have an LX manual and I really like the pickup...especially when downshifting.

I thought the same thing.I can't believe how much I like the red.

Premium gas...meh,it's thirsty I fill it up with only a slight pain that you soon get over when you pull out of the pumps.

Performance wise, the LX may be more nimble than the EX because it weighs slightly less because there's no moonroof and no trunk finisher. And since there's no moonroof, you won't get that pesky moonroof rattle that some of us moonroof owners have. You also get more interior headroom.

The LX does come with drum brakes in the rear whereas the EX has disc brakes. That's not going to affect braking that much anyway.

IMO EX is a waste of money unless you absolutely HAVE to have a moon/sun roof and steering wheel audio controls. 08 Lancer GTS costs much less and IMO is a way better car.

The steering wheel audio controls are easy to install if you get an LX.

Installing Steering wheel audio controls

On a difficult scale of 1 to 10, it's a 3.

Wow, if that's a 3 I'd hate to see a 10.
