Lower tie bar?

I was wondering if anyone with the lower rear tie bar left the plastic cover on or off. I have seen pics up other peoples cars with the bar and the plastic shield is removed. Is this a good thing or bad will I screw up my car if I left the cover off?

That cover acts as a diffuser. It allows the air to travel under the car instead of getting trapped in the bumper. I cut around the lower tie bar and left that panel there.

That may be true and in theory It sounds right. IMO i don't thing it will effect most of us enough to not show off our Red or Blue Megan Racing Rear Tie Bar. It looks great.

I don't know for a fact but generally aerodynamic affects like that really don't make huge differences unless we are talking about some real speed. Again I am not an expert by anymeans but from everything I have ever read I would conclude that unless you are doing some type of high speed racing all the time you should be fine.

I took off the diffuser and threw that shit away! Im not going to be doing anywhere over 100mph where it would come into effect. Theres supposedly a carbon fiber rear difusser in the works that covers more area. Im just gonna get that when its available!
