I totally want to get a g-tech w/ the data logging but $300 is kinda heavy
The problem i see w/ the dash hawk is that its based off the spedo and if you spin em on the launch it messes everything up.

The scan gauge might be somewhat useless but I like gadgets :)

Its cool too cause the trip gauges store the max RPM so i can tell if the dealer is beating on my sh!t (leaves a *** if its been unplugged). Last time i brought it in they only had it up to 5500 rpm so i was nice.

I am worried that i could have damaged some pistons/cylinders by chipping them when i first got the car and i redlined it all of the time. right now i want to get another OBD reader (my dashhawk is being returned since it didnt work) so i can see if my bad MPG is due to my bad drivign habits or if the engine pistons are chipped during the "break=in" period and not causing a tight seal. im worried because im averaging less than some SI owners on their 2007 models.

how current is the MPG reading on the Scan Gauge? does it update every 5 seconds or is it really REAL-TIME readings?

re train ur ecu today.. that mpg is un acceptable. just unplug ur battery for ten minutes, then start it up and fully warm up the engine until u hear 2 fan cycles or about 30 mins :).. then drive or turn it off. im sure u will see an increase in mpg. mine went up 4 mpm for 26 to 30 avg city.. anyway

$160. shipped. That's the lowest I could find it today. There was a GB at mpgresearch.com for $150. shipped, but I think it's over.

if anyone's interested in Dashhawk, and is in the Fort Collins, CO area, please contact ken from dashhawk as they want to make sure it works well on our Civics, especially those with Auto Transmission :)
