It would seem that the K series sometimes use's alittle oil. Be it Si, Accord, TSX. A quart in 3k miles seems extreme. Our K24 Accord use's about a 1/2 quart ever 10k miles. I run blend of M1 0w-20 and 5w-20 in it at 10k mile oil changes with PureOne or M1 oil filters. I ue the same filters in the R-18 and run M1 0w-20 with no visable oil usage on the dipstick between it 10k mile oil changes.
Some engines are funny about the oil they like. If I put M1 in my 2.5L Ranger it will blow and burn the stuff. Put the Motorcraft oil in it and it will only use 1/2 quart between oil changes. psy |
