my new compass

so i went out to a shop today and bought myself a compass to put into my civic .. it looked pretty cool so i bought it .. but there's the problem ..

as you can see, once the compass is inside the car, it starts to act all werid and stuff .. why is that? am i asking too much for my little compass to work properly ? LOL

WTH it was S and then it went to E without moving direction? To much magnetics in the car to have it be reliable

im considering buying the compass from honda thats integrated into the rear view mirror.. scared the RVM will be small.. the original one is small as it is..
